I just can't see him leaving Red Bull right now. When Alonso went to Ferrari it made sense. Renault had gotten so bad they had to orchestrate crashes to get a win and the boss kept hinting they would leave F1. Over at RB they are winning races, spending plenty of money, and they have Newey. Seb would be crazy to leave IMO.

Ferrari is in a huge pickle as I see it. Alonso constantly produces results but Massa (sometimes no fault of his own) does not produce enough results to even help the team battle for the WCC. Is my outlook to narrow in scope, am I missing something?

Ferrari.com. sent me an email informing me that there was a live “chat” with Massa today. Did anyone see this?

According to the German press there are very few options left: Hulkenberg or Sutil or even continue with Massa

Ferrari is most concerned about not disturbing team Alonso, whose contract runs till 2016.

I'd like to see Massa up his game and keep the seat, but Sutil would be my choice otherwise. He's proven capable but I don't think he'll really challenge Alonso.

The press sees Perez as the natural successor but he wouldn't back down for Fred

I think Sutil would be a fine driver, surprised someone hasn't picked him up yet.

Seems like the only two options remainig are Massa and Hulkenberg...unless Marlboro steps in big time and Vettel makes a sensationel tranfer for 2013.

True. Vettel - Not in a million years unless Alonso leaves which is likely to be never (well, not before 2016 anyway).

Vey true and I personaly think Perez has the potential to drive and learn from Ferrari and obviously Ferrari does aswell or he would not be in their young drivers academy. It is certainly an honor for any young F1 driver or potential star F1 star to be allowed into the academy but it also comes with the hope and desire the they will oneday driver fulltime for Ferrari. I do not think Perez just wants to be "tossed a bone" ie let into the academy without an honest expectation of eventually being on the team.

I still believe that great potential and access to direct mentoring comes from being thrown directly into the fire but thats just me.

If Ferrari doesnt have the common sense to pick him up someone else will.
And he will use those talents (and money) to beat Ferrari.

Seriously; what kind of idiot makes decisions like this not to grab him now ?

    Thy name be Luca!! lol

Di Resta has shown some true talent for F1 and I would not be 100% disappointed but in all reality his experience is no greater than Perez's. Imho I have seen Perez make more 'commanding passes' than Di Resta and Di Resta is not a member of Ferrari's academy and if chosen over Perez, Perez should be PO'd.

This could aswell just be posturing by Ferrari in the manner that "No news is good news" so maybe that is why they are playing the old shell game.

If judgement means being subservient, then yes.
