LOL! Reminds me of the time this guy had a fake Lamborghini Countach Anniversary, and in gaming press articles he'd always say it's a '92. I called him on it saying Lambo never built Countach's in '92, but he insisted they started production up again briefly. He'd never fess up it was actually a kit car.

As Albert pointed out most fillers for a 5000S are under a flap. I have seen this style filler on some later cars indicating the fuel tanks may have been changed on this car. I also believe I read somewhere in this thread that the Swiss? required this type of filler to meet their regulations. I agree the silver cap does nothing for the car.

    Cheers Jim

Alberto, you cant blame the machines, only the men. The cars are innocent.

Look at a row LP500S as brand new cars imported into the USA circa early 1984 (before Joe Nastasi became the official concessionaire) at L&L International in Wilmington, Delaware.

    Nary a side-marker in evidence....

Can anyone tell me if these two Countachs are the same car or different cars?

The first car is a RHD Countach S in silver UK registered AGF239W. THis car is #1121326 has been in the UK for most of its life and now lives in South Africa.

The second car is a UK RHD Countach S in silver UK registered EHJ152X. IS this the same car or a different cars?

This is not a trick question, genuinely this is a mystery.

    Anyone know...the truth?

(On Page 324 of this thread, there is another silver RHD Countach S in New Zealand - could this be the second car? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=139576608&postcount=6468)

Robert, the silver RHD "S" in NZ is really an LP400, so that's not the answer.

  10. That's the risk you take when you drive your cars. I always carry a fire extinguisher, cell phone, a few tools, AAA card, and a nice pair of walking shoes. LOL

Looks like he drained his battery, and/or needs a starter rebuild.

Peter, I may have found a copy of that video on a site called **********.
I can't figure out how to view it.
I also read how some people think truckers are scalliwags..
While others show they have a good heart and are understanding.

Oh and the tarp, my mistake, I should have said that the cars should of had shrink wrap.
Thank you for pointing that out.

Fantastic picture, what a bunch of brand new Countach! i remember those times, when the American customers helped the factory to survive with big Countach orders.

My previous post, better explained: it is sad to see that such a car masterpiece sometimes does not have an owner that mantains and services the car like he should do.

    ciao

yes. it would appears all the MY89 Countach with KLA vins were made in August 88. Not many anyway. I have yet to find a KLA non anniv that was made in a month other than August 1988.

I have seen those. I would guess its another "safety" feature from DOT?
Or may be too many people, including mechanics, just cant find the gas filler hidden under the trap door.
Its bad on the QV euro but for those who dont know the car, it is worth on the earlier model because there are on each side, so people assume when they find the first one, they are done.
