512TR ride height adjustment tool

Hi,

Did this tool come in the tool kit, or was it obtained separately?
if not in the tool, is it something we can still purchase?
Does anyone have a picture of one?

This is standard tool, which is suitable for all kind of current adjustable coilovers like H&R, KW, Bilstein, Teil etc.

Please check the required diameter and then get the tool from eBay or similar web-source.

The tool is called hook wrench or hook spanner.

So if I raised the front of my car say, 2mm, how much of a alignment change would I expect?
is it enough to have to go back and re-align the camber and toe, or is the change so small, that I wont even notice it.

What I wont notice is 1/8th of a degree change...

Any thoughts?

 

Negligible and not worth an alignment check unless it's been years since the last one, then you should align the chassis.

I use SnapOn spring platform wrenches in two different sizes, part numbers are listed in the article.

Are you raising for curb clearance?

I had an alignment when I got new tyres, so its all good on that front.

It just feathers the driveway, just... depending on fuel load

2mm? You mean 2cm...

 

Contrary to that video I would use spring clamps to take the load off the spring perch, especially since the Ferrari components are mostly aluminum.

 

No need to do that.

More important is to clean the threads properly and use a lot of WD40 or similar grease to avoid destroying the aluminium threads and rings.

No, definitely only need a couple of mm.

 

How does 2mm or 1/8 of an inch help?.....I bet a couple of breakfast pancakes in your tummy affects the ride height 2mm.....Mark

Funny thing, just go to your mechanic and ask for serious wheel alignment...and then tell the guy, that you increased the height about 2mm
