I can half agree with that, however IMO, I think Lewis expects Mclaren to get behind him for the WDC push, when it became clear he was the one on the team closest to reeling FA in.

Merc maybe promising Ham whatever he wants and I could see that they might be pushing all the right buttons for him to jump ship, but when he is there things maybe a lot different, than the picture they have painted.

It's all guess work to what is really going on though.

Steve, this is tactics at work. I expect to see LH in a bright silver car next year that does not have a star on it. He will be at Mclaren. I would not be surprised at a 1 year deal though!

EDIT: Maybe this is more serious than first looked - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/formulaone/article-2203836/McLaren-line-Sergio-Perez-replace-Lewis-Hamilton.html#ixzz26iifRr3D

LH might want to re-think all this, if true of course!

Maybe Alonso has had it right all along. A team should focus on just one driver.
Having said that maybe its Jensen moving.

I agree, Mclaren approaching Perez is like saying to Ham, look there are plenty of hot shots ready to take your place, get real there is a economical down turn as it is, costs count.

What I mean by senses is, Hams/>management better be careful or else he maybe forced into it.

It boils down to money over results IMO, Mclaren always seem to provide a half decent WDC contending car, Merc appear to be having trouble mixing it with the big boys.

Well yes, I'am not a fan of team orders from the onset of the season, but clearly as one driver gets a reasonable lead it is obvious that the other driver should play a supporting role, but does that happen at Mclaren, who knows for sure.

It is probably the main reason FA based his move to Renault on.

How does anyone's situation improve if Lewis leaves?

this seems to be about money and ego, not long term performance. hopefully everyone looks at the big picture here.

Hamilton and Vettel should form their own team of cry babies, run by Barrichello.

One again, please note the source; The Daily Mail!

They're filling column inches based on rumors that came from rumors from unreliable sources in the first place IMO. It's easy to say "there's no smoke without fire", and certainly negotiations seem to be going the "hard-ball" route - But that's nothing new.

I still reckon Mr Fuller is in *way* out of his depth with Ron. This is not the Spice Girls and "desperate" promoters he's dealing with here - This is one of the biggest piranhas in the tank and I suspect a whole new can-of-worms to him and his people. Ron doesn't like "amateurs" and will eat 'em all if they're not very, very careful.

    Cheers,
    Ian

I hope he does, but how much does he now have to do with the F1 side of things, I thought he hung his clogs up, part of the deal with getting shut of that cretin Mosley.

Oh, he's still very much in charge IMO. There's no way anyone signs at Mclaren without his approval - Both of the name and the contract terms itself. He may be "lying low" at the races (although he seems to be showing up more than a few years back) but he remains chairman of the group I believe. *Never* underestimate Ron! ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

I'am sure your right Ian. ;)

I do think since he laid low, LH does seems to have lost his way though.

Him showing up in the last race seemed to show he meant business, and LH did not disappoint.

No need to apologize!........ But yeah, I'd put 'em the same "dodgy" source bucket as PF1 and the idiots in Germany (Bild?)

    TBH, I'm getting bored with reading the same damn thing over & over again from all these so called sources - All they're doing is rehashing the same old (non?) stories;

    - Phil may or may not be out.
    - Checo may or may not take his seat. LdM says not.
    - The Schu may or may not retire.
    - Nico may or may not be heading to Maccy-L
    - Lulu may or may not be heading to Merc.
    - Etc etc.

Nothing "new" or "ground breaking" in at least a month. :(

I read a respected source a while back noting that the silly season used to be a month or so of BS - With the interweb everyone has an opinion, but they're all "stealing" from each other it seems. Boring!

    Cheers,
    Ian

Color my source and me crazy, but Hamilton might be ushered out of F1 for a season or two...but who knows, it's all mostly conjecture and posturing at this point.
