    Look at the mirrors?
    Also the side turn signals?
    "Ferrari" instead of "Dino".
I know that the mirrors were fitted from the distributor or dealer and the location on the fenders were quite populat in the mid sixties..., but..?
Is this an old picture and this is how the 206 was presented in Japan by the distributor, or is this just from an exhibition these day´s.
    What do you think?

    Ray Dot mirrors, IIRC.

Still wearing the proper "Dino" nose badge...

I don't believe that there are any RHD 206's but I may be wrong.

My guess is that the picture is period correct, meaning very old, probably in the late sixties or seventies, based on the bacground crowd attire and hairstyle.

Also, in the past several years, I have seen half a dozen or so 206 throughout, but none had mirrors as such. That type was seem quite often in the Miuras, which also suggests pre or post seventies.

It doesn't look like a 206 to me because there is a door over the gas cap. It looks like an early L series car with some wierd knock offs and a whacky turn signal indicator.

It also almost looks like it has the head rests on the seats rather than on the rear bulkhead. This car is becoming more of a mystery by the minute but the photo looks too old to hide a Fiero under the sheet metal.

It's L-series S/N00678, originally white delivered to Japan. Must be 1970.
Notice the black rear view mirror, size of tires, gas cover (noted already).
    odd things:
    - appears to have straight eared knockoffs? hard to tell.
    - wooden steering wheel... not only the French... (actually, it's probably leather not wood on second look)

Some nice details, wish I had those bumpers.

dinoregister says it was in "car graphic" and Oct 1970 issue of "motor fan" had a road test.
Also "thought to be the car exhibited at 1970 Tokyo motor show".
I guess that's where the photo was taken.

Yes, looks fatter than original Altissimo. I guess required for import or some customization to go along with those lovely mirrors.

Mirror placement is not unusual for Japan. Probably just as ineffective as the usual placement.

Very much correct, it`s only one of two Dino 246 directly exported to Japan!
Steering wheel seems to be leather.

On the 2nd picture there is a Aston Martin in the background.
Looks like they showed the couple from the persuaders :)

Those look like Sebrings to me, Big Tex. Very popular in the late 60s, early 70s.
