I saw two in Maranello the other week on the V 12 line, I have to say it does no favors for the car. You might consider a metallic red such as the launch color which has great presence. Metallics look best on this car. Mine is Grigio FF which is perhaps a little too understated.
I think it looks fantastic! I sold this Rosso Corsa/Cuoio FF to a client a few months ago...I'll try to dig up a few more photos but in the meantime check it out parked in the garage next to his Corsa/Beige California...it also shares space with a Rosso Scuderia/Cuoio 458 Image Unavailable, Please Login
VERY cool! I look forward to the additional photos. I am thinking about one but with beige interior ... Please post your interior photos too if you have any! I like the black grill too! Rick
I saw one in Abu Dhabi last month and, IMO, Rosso Corsa does not work on the FF. I think darker, more understated colors (Grigio Silverstone, Blu TdF) better suit the design.
Hard to beat Rosso Corsa but other colors seem to suit the FF better... CH Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Rick, You might want to take a look at the link below, which goes to a car spotting-site with 29 pages (!) of spotted FF's. There are multiple pictures of each car, including several examples in Rosso Corsa. Enjoy: http://www.autogespot.com/ferrari/ff/spots?spottype=photo PS: personally I much like the FF in Rosso Corsa! Ciao, Lars T.
I think the FF looks great in Rosso Corsa, will try get some pictures for you. I have seen about 4 or 5 of them in Rosso Corsa and I think the colour does work quite well on the car.
We saw one in RC that were part of the fleet up at the Ferrari Driving Experience in Mont-Tremblant.... We had looked at every color and ordered ours in Pozzi; our sense was that car looked best in a "serious" (darker) color. We love it in Pozzi over Cuoio/Blu interior. Having said that, the car in Rosso Corsa and Rosso Mugello looked sharp, the latter was really nice. My personal view is seeing one in person is so different than pics or the configurator, the size of the car and the size of the flanks in different colors change your impression. It was a lot of "bright red" in Rosso Corsa, the hood/sides are huge, and not broken up as on the 458 or even the Cali... Car is awesome. If you like your Cali you will likely love the FF. We just ordered Sottozeros for winter....
I also like the FF in Corsa. In general I think the car looks great in darker colors such as black, the darker grays and blues. They make it more formal. I think Corsa and the darker reds such as Mugello or Maranello also do very well, while they make the car look more sporty than formal. I would beware of the lighter colors such as white, yellow, or even a lighter red such as Scuderia.
Thanks! I have Sottozeros for my California and they are great!! I know the website and photos never work like in person which is why I asked. I really appreciate the help, headed to the dealer tomorrow morning and hoping to put one on order then. Rick
First, Rick it is not my intention to hijack your thread, I'm sorry for asking this here, but I didn't want to make a new thread just for this... A question just came to my mind when I read this... Cariad (or anyone who knows the answer), I thought rosso maranello was the color of the ff at the launch video... I thought it was the red metallic... Do you know what is the color of the launch video ? Thanks already for the answer !
Agree - the metallic colours look far better - saw quite a few at the factory and the darker non-metallics don't look great. Same holds for the F12. David
Rick you should really go to the Atelier in Maranello to spec your car - they have all the colours, materials etc. and will take you round the factory looking at different colours, specs etc. I spent 3 hours doing that of which, nearly 2 were spent in different parts of the factory looking at cars. Having done it wouldn't buy a Ferrari any other way. Lunch at Montana afterwards had the bonus of Alonso having lunch there as well. All was free and organised by my dealer. The other thing that might interest you is to stay at Enzo's old house - is pricey at Euro 3,000 per night but is very well done and they will organise food etc. however you want. Alonso and Massa have the use of the apartment on the 3rd floor. David
Thanks for the answer!! I'm sorry, I miss read your reply.. You said "I saw two in Maranello", I thought you were talking about the color, not the location... Really dumb of me
That garage is awesome. Defiantly deserves a post in the "garage pics" thread. The FF looks like the grown up of the family alongside the Cali, more so with them both being in the same colour. Nice.
Hey Chad! I am keeping the California and Monday morning will put a down payment on the silverstone FF that MAG has. I decided that would be better than waiting until a May delivery. Will you be at the C&C next weekend at Studio 47? I just decided to come.
congrats on the car....Silverstone is a great color for the FF, it was our #2 pick. Was this their demo? 2013? by all means, please share the details....
Love it. Especially over Nero! Was goin to post pics but Of2worlds already has. Believe thats mine b4 i picked it up
