Current: E90 335i Previously: '99 E36 M3--'97 E36M3/4 --'95 525i Touring The photos of the alpine white and 525iT are not mine, but that was what my cars looked like. I like the 335i, but new cars suck compared to older ones in general. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Man I love those 4 door E36's! I wanna slap a big 'ol turbo on one and wave goodbye with the A/C freezing me out. What is the market like on them these days?
Depends on mileage. I sold mine for under $5k...fun cars for not a lot of money, but like our F-cars they can be money pits even if you do take care of them like I did... MB
I have bought yet another 6 speed, E39 540i. Another high-miler. I am a sucker for these old Bimmers....and punishment
Nice! Well today I had my first ever ride in an E36 M3 (track day prepped but street legal, NA 300 hp) and also the first time on a track ever (as a passenger; the owner is a very generous co-owner of an enthusiast dealership). IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! The track was soaked but the Michelin Cups did provide insane traction... I was grinning from ear to ear all 10-15 laps (who counts when you're are having FUN?) and was so glad I didn't drink a milkshake before I stepped in the car Suede leather dash, steep Recaro seats, rollover cage, CF everywhere, 4-point buckles... I NEED AN ///M TRACK CAR IN MY LIFE!! I never thought I'd say it but after a while my neck hurt so much that I had to ask the driver to pull over And boy, 120 mph sprints on a straight where I would think it would be impossible and 80 mph corners in a long, controlled drift... Happy times! Will upload pictures later
Yes. Amazing car. My father owns the Sport Evo and me the other two. I cannot upload them because my MB have finished. I will upload them in photobucket and then i will upload the link here.. Best
Got the 430 last year but you can still see my allegiance hanging on the wall. The E39 M5 was my favorite daily driver for close to 100K miles. That's my 5-month old son above the engine... trying to indoctrinate him early Once I get more garage space I'd love to add an E36 M3 for a track/autocross car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My photos from the Autobahn show in Carmel Valley http://www.flickr.com/photos/photosbyjohnwiley/sets/72157631317988892/ A few M1s, a Z1, 2002 turbos, CSLs, M6s, M5s, M3s, the M8, and the Zagato Roadster.
Good thread here. Im a big BMW fan. Only natural that enthusiasts like Ferrari owners are also fans of the BMW breed, and the reverse as well. Im down to a E-39 530 sport, a Dinan E-36 M3, and a Cooper S JCW, (sort of a BMW) Love them all. Just not enough time (and $) to drive all I want. Chris Austin Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just bought my third BMW. The first was a 1967 2000 CS restoration project in the 80s, then a new 318ti bought new in Germany while stationed at Ramstein (great car- cruise 110mph all day on the autobahn), and now the one I really wanted all along... a 3.0 CSi.
Speaking of BMW'S, someone here in Florida just received his new M5 and took it to a dyno. 534 HP at the wheels! http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=2385766

Toss up some pics when you get a chance. Before I decided on a Miata I was looking at a few E46's but I did not want another car note. Once I am back on my feet financially I may start looking around for a E28 or E34 M5 as a 50th birthday present for myself.
Thanks. When I was in high school in the 70s, there were three cars that were the top for me: 246 Dino, 911 and the 3.0 CSi. Every time I see the iconic photo of Hans Stuck airborne at the Nurburgring in the CSL it makes me want to cheer. Right now, I think for the money, the E9 coupes are the best classic cars on the planet.
