If you did want to unbolt them, then Yes it is easily done from underneath. Four nuts for each seat, under the car. Two indented lines, running front to back have the nuts up in them. All you need is is a 13mm socket and 10 minutes.

    Hi Mikael,

The first paper says that your CLA12544 registred in Germany with NF-AZ477 is confirming the french specification papers and therefore road legal in France.

Generally the last two papers is the official specification paper work from the local importer to legalize the cars, DLA12591 was used by importer JB Automobile to do so.

Hahaha BradJohnston=Allanherbie....not the most shocking thing on this board, I think quite a few people assumed that.

I guess a welcome aboard is due!

All I ask is that you post Evans photos of the progress. It is amazing work that we don't see here often enough. For one we are all here because we dig the Countach.

hahaha, oh yes, now we can bid higher based on the historical significance of the 'bay!!

I think my parents still have the original software package laying around for Prodigy (early interweb), maybe that's worth something!

There is a MSD ignition installed with a much too strong coil, I would never use the HVC coils in a countach distributor system, failure is programmed.
And as already mentioned earlier the window crank should be covered with the same leather as the rest of the hide.
Rubbers under the door switch are missing.

    55k miles = 89k Kilometers

    Ouch!

Anyone know the story of what is going on with the rear trunk panel gaps?

    Michael,

Its quite simple: during the car's color-change, the the rear lenses were re-installed lower than they should have been, and this is clear from the silicone gap on top of the lens versus that on the bottom of the lens.

FWIW it may well be that the trunk itself is not fully shut, but still, as Peter so eloquently put it: "the tail-light dropped".

Is that the services at the end of the A3 going east?

    Looks familiar!

Hope our US friends understand that means we pay £5.70 a US gallon or $9.15 a US gallon
How much is petrol or gas over there just now?

I just filled up at a Costco gas pump in Connectciut. US$4.27
I can get for US$4.18 though.

Guess you kind of put it in perspective :( we were spoiled for many decades with US$2.00 per gallon

white on white DD in the States.... can't be too many of those. I love that combo so i would vote to change it back. I have seen this car though and will say that the red paint is in Great shape. I wonder if it was used in a Miami Vice episode.....?

There was a white DD here in the late 90s. I've wondered where it ended up after the owner (retired airline pilot) who never drove it much over 55 mph, got tired of replacing fouled spark plugs.

A countach without a spoiler looks naked in my opening.

When I find the perfect Countach for me I will make sure that it is sporting a wing and if it doesn't have one I will add one regardless if it originally left the factory with a wing or not.

My god I love this car. To me, the early ones were the purist and most interesting looking.

I can understand this sentiment. The wing issue is split between enthusiasts, and sometimes one person will go back-and-forth.

I have never seen a wing in person more captivating than that which sits on the back of 1038. Parked next to our Last-built F40, all eyes were firmly on the Countach, including those of Horacio Pagani.
