Better to use them on a later stint when the cars are lighter.

Maybe Mercedes plans to go super long on the prime and one stint on the SS. I don't know if it will work...won't they lose too much speed to attempt that? I'd think all of the teams will be running 3-stops tomorrow, but who knows?

Which suggests a 3 stopper as all the guys at the front are already on 'em.....

Mercedes didn't turn a lap in Q3, so they can use either, right?

If they start out on softs, we'll know they're on a 2-stopper.

Lol loldonado's Boss just jokingly called him an "unguided missile" and said the others have to be more wary of him and hopes they are all listening now lol lol.

I just hope they don't screw it up. Merc have hardly gotten their strategies right.

    Maybe.

He would deserve it and I would applaud him. But I'd rather see Alonso winning it.

Regardless it seems to come down to these two drivers. I think everybody else at this point has lost the plot or never quite had it. That includes Vettel, Button, Kimi and Webber.

If all, i think Fred deserved the title 100%. What he is doing in that Ferrari is just crazy, considering how bad they started the season, with the F2012 being called a 'fundamental wrongly designed car'

I think that credit goes to Isobel. She called it a couple of races back...though she'd also rather see Fernando pull it off.

He's certainly done more with less. The Ferrari is the better car in certain conditions (changeable ones), but on a clear day you'd have to concede that McLaren and Red Bull are clearly superior, with Lotus right alongside.

The Ferrari sucks. The McLaren is too good. It's good EVERYWHERE and everything they slap on that car works.

I'd bet the farm on LH being WDC 2012. Congrats to him today, he put in a great lap.

Not if Crashanado takes him out at turn one tomorrow....
But to be frank, McLaren would be ahead in the WDC and WCC if they had a bit more luck and their Pit crew knew how to change a tire early in the season. We tend to have short memories, and I am rooting for Fred, but this has been a McLaren year that has been tainted by their own stupidity, the Rev and lettuce taking them out of races. I know its racing but we are fortunate that Fred is even in the conversation at this point. Clifford is still what it was day one, a dog, Fred just walks it better than anyone else, and oh ya, fire Massa already will you please LDM.

    +1

Throw the Rev and Williams into the mix as well!.....

I honestly don't believe Phil sucks, it's just that Fred is *that* good it makes him look really bad. Not sure any "normal" human could get more from Clifford than Phil. Fred's just on another planet with it.

    Cheers,
    Ian

Crash takes people out on the pass. I think Vettel, Button and Alonso are the guys that need to watch themselves going into the first corner. Maldonado panics when under attack and makes abrupt and aggressive moves to protect position.

Lotus looks to be a bit out of it this weekend. I hope it's down to the peculiarities of this track. If not its better luck next year.

Should he hold on to win the title this year, I think he becomes the "Magic Maestro". Regardless of how hamstrung he seems to be after a qualifying session, he finds a way to move up the field and usually ends up on the podium.

I don't think anything's decided yet. McLaren are definitely surging but there is a lot of racing to be done between now and the end of the season. Should be an exciting finish this year (Bernie's dream scenario)

Nope. Unless there is drastic improvement from the Ferrari, this thing is OVER. Game, set match Hamilton.
