Arsehole! [Cleaning bill in the mail ] And, in complete fairness, not true either........ If we look at the entire (admittedly disappointing) season, he's gained a total of 6 places compared to where he was in qualy. Certainly not great, but better than many others. OK, you can argue that he should be qualifying better, but it is what it is; His confidence was gone, he couldn't get his head around Clifford and it's Fred's team. Hopefully he will continue to improve as he and Rob figure it out. Further, *if* he's got another year, at least he's not got that hanging over his head all the time - Should do wonders for his confidence. Cheers, Ian
As Hobbs would say: There was a malfunction of the part between the steering wheel and the roll hoop. Or in Ron speak: The interface between the right pedal and the bottom of the PUMA shoes was sub optimally coordinated.
Oh no. It can't be that simple. Ferrari after all keep the guy despite the visible results. Clearly they know much more than all of us armchair refs. They're so much smarter holding on to Massa. At least that's what I read on here somewhere.
Phil's a nice guy, but just is not a serviceable Ferrari driver anymore. Wish him the best of luck wherever he lands next year, as long as it is not with the Scuderia.
No what sucks the most is I cannot get a simple straight forward mature and honest answer too my question!!
Not really. Of course the team has always more information than us outsiders. But that doesn't shield them from making wrong decisions. And keeping Massa after his accident was/is a wrong decision. It happens all the time in governments and corporations: While the players inside always know more more than the folks on the outside, they still make bad decisions, which are very plainly visible to us. Just because they know more, doesn't mean they can't be wrong. The Germans have a saying for this: Den Wald vor lauter Baeumen nicht sehen. (Can't see the forest because of all the trees).
Not to rehash this one, but MS did have the option to stay on. He decided to leave, he wasn't thrown out. And yes, he would have had a very good chance at winning 2007 and 2008.
