We do but I think Ferrari has been pretty good this time at keeping info from the media. I think when the numbers are removed from the equation this will be quite a special car from an "experience" point of view.

It will be very amusing when the end result will be identical to that of the 458 vs MP4! :D

Them that are likely owners have already seen the cars.
For the rest of us, all will be revealed in the fullness of time.

No reason to stop the idle speculation of course.

No. Why would you want to do that with the huge respect the company offers one.

see, this is what ruins a perfectly good thread for speculating, guessing, expressing hopes wishes, etc.

if i had 4m euro's i would buy all the P1, 918 and F70,,,,errr, maybe not, i would buy just one of those and then build my Carrera GT RSR:) the pic Jim posted, P1 in blue, gulf color scheme does look fetching. maybe it's the wheels...the timeless and technical 'makes every car look better' BBS industry standard:)

Me, I'd have a 412P, orginal body, modern mechanicals, F12 motor. The wonders of bespoke almost anything is possible and within reason I can see this become more common in the future.

Personally I think with cars like the P12, Enzo replacement, Veyron we are nearing a peak of performance and steadily things will shift back to the days of one off of bespoke cars.

I don't believe that is true. Some have indeed seen it but I know that far from all have not.

Not all eventual owners have, but many of those that the factory recognize as potentially serious customers have been offered the chance.

You placed a deposit on what? It can't be the new car as Ferrari haven't even finished sending out the invites and Ferrari is not taking 'deposits' on the new car. I've seen the invite and it comes with the opportunity to see the car as it is right now (or was) provided a nondisclosure is signed. At least that's what some of the xx clients were provided with.

This is true. I have only seen parts of the car and the photos I was given did not come from potential customers. None of the people I know that are getting the car have tried to sneak photos out or spread them around the internet.

Sounds like the new Norwood P4-575 - modern V12 from 575M with a modern materials chassis and the gorgeous P4 bodywork.

    http://www.p4bynorwood.com/p4_V126_spec.htm

"The P4 575 is Bob Norwood’s interpretation of the now-classic ‘60’s era race car. Only three of the original P4’s remain and those are rarely seen…as befits a car in the multi-million price range.

The current incarnation of this beautiful classic sports car, a handcrafted lightweight aluminum body mounted to a precisely engineered chromalloy tubular frame.

Nestled between the cast aluminum uprights in the rear is a late model Ferrari V12 engine coupled to a G50 5 speed manual gear box. A power to weight ratio of only 3.68 assures a quick, exciting ride. A ride we might add that’s characterized by that delicious Ferrari sound."

Unfortunately no F70 prototype(s) to be seen in Maranello last week. Probably because the press was test driving the F12 Berlinetta.

Martin, sorry to insist, but this mule you saw might be something interesting, maybe anyone here knows (see pics 2, 3, 4):

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=141764083&postcount=13

You mentioned an early F12 mule but I'd find strange that they keep it running now.

It appears to be a Front Mid configuration rather than a Rear Mid, which we know the Enzo replacement will be.

Sorry I made myself unclear, I'm not thinking that mule could be a chassis mule or prototype for the F70, obviously. The configuration speaks for itself as you said. I just wanted to know for what other upcoming model or tech element could that mule be. Maybe even some late F70 parts, why not?
