Oh, no doubt. I would certainly hope that Lettuce got the message.

But, the team still got to run two cars and the airtime was certainly more than it would have been without the drama.....

As I said, "devils advocate"..... ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

    That could work!

IIRC, Bernie pretty much did that when Sauber (?) quit early in Bahrain earlier this year. No TV coverage = no sponsors. Very bad. Even the minnows get a little TV time to sell to prospective sponsors......

    Cheers,
    Ian

    OK.

But, I suspect said cars would get more coverage than the front runners however - It may not say "Fairy hair gel & gizmo's" (;) ?) on the sides, but the TV will follow 'em, and the talking heads will talk and everyone will know who they are...... Mission accomplished. ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

You'll never erase the sponsor's link entirely but it's a step.

When photos and videos are published years hence the residual ad value is gone.

Or relable the car with the sponsor's competitor's logo.

Then again Marlboro pays Ferrari megabucks and few of even the Tifosi realize it. So who knows.

Except that the captions will note that "this was the race at which they banned Gizmo's name from the car"..... Other than that, the pix wouldn't be of interest..... ;)

Now *that* I can go with! It's a dog eat dog world after all ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Just got done watching qualifying......Hammy smokes the field ----again.

People can hate on this guy all they want, but when he brings it he has the goods.

Now I just need to hope that Alonzo can pull one out of his magical hat yet again for Ferrari and they can move one step closer to the driver's championship!

    Forza!!

As long as FA stays out of trouble early like in lap 1, he normally has the race pace to deal wiht things. No matter though, this looks like a repeat of Monza for LH. He has a great competitive package.
