That was a credible drive from Massa.

    Darn.

Too late now, but I love that even more so as it ties in with the Cathedral of Milano.

Oh well, it's good as it is.

"Temple of speed" is almost as good! :)

And just to keep this all on topic, Massa drove pretty well today, especially having to do the whole of the first lap with a puncture and then having a three stop strategy when most did two stops.

Also, credit where credit is due, a ballsy move with Senna, and well held! - especially as he completed the overtake at the same time!

(Couldn't really see why Williams were making such a big deal about it -stating that the FIA saw what happened! - It was merely a racing incident! [as the FIA eventually agreed with] ).

    :D Nice.

Given that Stowe school is in sight, how about "The Speed School"?......

    Cheers,

You know what the haters will say:
"He shoulda been up front so he wouldn't'a gotten hit in the corner."
(Despite Alonso not being up front either.)

Ferrari really still hasn't come to grips (no pun intended) with the cribbed-from-Indy tire rules and the no-refuel format.

As said in other places, Alonso has been hugely lucky: winning Malaysia when the Ferrari was a dog, having his competition pooing the screwch every other race, etc.

Speaking of Alonso "creating his own luck" ---- well, remember when Alonso "won" Singapore for Renault? ;)
(But, like Steppneygate, that "wasn't his fault". :p)

Bull. Cars busting or another driver flying into you is no fault of the driver. That's luck.

SKY did mention how this Safety Car was 'helping' FA again :) They didnt miss it today.
I know, I know he REALLY had no idea at all when Piquet crashed! Such is life in F1. One of the reasons he is not such a 'hero' at all to me. He is a terrible liar!

Yes, but there's a problem. Massa still cannot qualify well and therefore gets himself in to too much trouble in the pack. He's also too far back to take points away from Alonso's competitors.

He gets around the track OK and I loved his pass today. But, that doesn't make up for poor qualifying. If it was just this time, it would be excusable. But, its been like this for 2 years now. Enough is enough.

No, not always. If you qualify at the back with a car that is faster in the race than your competitors, you're always asking for trouble.

Guys in the front 2 rows rarely get taken out in first corner crashes while guys in the middle more often do.

Mid pack can get it hopeless wrong at the start and take out front runners though.

Overall I tend to agree. Pure and simple bad luck, is what happened to Hamilton today, and the guy MS rear ended.

I was more thinking: The airfield that should have been long forgotten...

I had a miserable experience at Silverstone. Great to watch on TV, less so to experience first hand.

    Great!

Funny, but St. Devote is far from being a basilica. Sorry to be a technical Debbie Downer.

Since my next article will be about the NY GP, I could use some good one liners there. What have you got besides "F1- Soprano style"?
