Not feeling the spoiler, but the rest of the body kit and wheels look quite tidy, IMO. The absence of strakes would probably do a great job of clearing the streets of stray cats too.

It seems to be a n.a. and not a Turbo :(

Furthermore, the desireable Koenig mirrors are missing :(

Loved the open headlights Koenig had as well. Believe they had a more F40 type rear wing which worked better with the car.

that's an early koeing testrossa body kit, there are a few around that were strictly the body kit ...the later twin-turbo cars got the newer body kit, which was different in several ways, primarily the f40 tall wing ....as nice as it is, i still prefer the 512 TR body over any kit i've seen :)

    That´s not correct.

The first Koenig conversion already had twin-turbo and the 1st version body kit. It was called Koenig testarossa twin turbo.

Second version was the Koenig Competition with 2nd version bodykit (incl. F40 wing) and twin-turbo + compressor.

Third (and best) version was the mighty Koenig Competition Evolution. No compressor anymore, but twin-turbo (1000 HP said, but 700-800 effectively) and incl. 2nd version body kit.

The white TR only has front and rear spoiler, no wider rear and front fenders. I like the wide body better.

The fixed headlights and F40 wing always seemed like a natural progression as an M version. Wish Ferrari had continued with the mid engine 12 instead of going back to front engine. This was one Koenig got right, and they didn't get many models right IMO.

actually, what you missed, is that one could buy "just" the koenig body kits, the white example shows (as correctly mentioned above) only the spoilers, and not the wide-body fenders, and no turbo mods ....there were a few testarossa so modified, which did not have the turbo (single or twin) modifications
there is at least one wide-body i've read/seen of (somewhere in japan) which in had the wide-body competition body kit, but no turbos
just like the 308 keonig body kits, there were some cars modified with just body kits, and some with kits + turbo modification

I have a confession to make; I've never been that wild about the various Testarossa models from beginning to end. What's worse is I never could come up with a valid reason why, until I saw this white Japanese Testarossa that David posted, then it hit me like a ton of bricks: It's the strakes, stupid!

I think that white Testarossa is an absolutely stunning car, and the only difference between it and all the others that I've seen is the strakes. Oddly enough, I don't find the strakes on the 348 to be offensive, but I now realise they've always rubbed me the wrong way on the Testarossas.

So thank you David, I'll now add a strake-less Testarossa to my bucket list :)

And I'll get the flame suit on now in preparation for those of you who believe the strakes are the finest feature of the Testa's.

The strakes are unique and make the testarossa being a testarossa.

The Koenig converion looks absolutely stunning and if there would be one for sale, well i´d go for it.

IMHO, the Koenig Competition Evolution is the most beautiful testarossa and - apart from the F40 - my definite dreamcar.

Ah, OK ... so, you're only looking for "the real deal" ... a full spec Koenig ... just like the one on these photos (seen by myself in Japan in 2005) ...

It needs a bigger and shinier shift knob - then it would be perfect.

So, as it was sold new in Japan, this also means that the body kit and color change were done in Japan too?? That doesn't have to be the case, of course ...

Just ship the car back to Koenig in Germany and do the modifications. Or bring it to Koenig immediately after it leaves the factory ...
