    Hello everyone,

I am looking to change my coupe to the spider, I currently have a bianco fuji with rosso/charcoal interior. This time ill go for one of the tri layer rossos for exterior. However I do not want the standard beige/cuio or nero for the interior so any suggestions ??

Black is best. Seriously, despite the heat.
Did you negotiate any discount on your coupe from dealer? Will you get any on the spider?

I could be wrong but the only colors that are "tri- layer" are variations of red or yellow. Black and white I think are also "tri layer" but I don't consider black a color, nor do I white. White or black work with almost any other color you can pick.

If you go with red, honestly only black, gray, white or a tan/brown will work.

If you go with yellow, black is your best choice followed by Cuoio.

That's all I can think of.

Well i prefer a bit more colour because i just find black a bit bland and ive seen enough beige and cuio as for the discount I dont think ill be getting any but its not too bad cause the dealer called me and said they are recalling all 458s up to 2012 and changing the whole engine because of some issue so anyways when I get it back itll be back to 0km.

Yes i was thinking about a white interior white/charcoal, I remember seeing a picture of it on a 458 but cant seem to find it anymore, im going to have to find it again if im going to order it otherwise i guess im going to come back to my current colour combo.

Black with red contrasting stitching would add the extra color you want. I know rather typical and classic, but for a reason, it's just cool.

I thought the engine recall affected only a small number of cars, none of which were 2012. And this is an old recall already taken care of some time ago. I hope this isn't some new recall. Does any one know of this recall?

Crema works well with red. There are some classic Ferraris in red with blue interiors. I have seen exterior yellow cars (Challenge Stradales) with red alcantara seats on yellow exterior. Yellow alcantara could work if you include lots of black. Seriously out there, but you asked for options, not personal preferences. Depending on red and your budget, what about custom dyed red leather that matches exterior red you choose? Then just put in some contrasting stitching to make interior interesting? Hope to hear what you do. Best

I saw a car just like this one at the SEMA show a year ago (metallic red with white interior).

Cultures are of course different but it didn't look very masculine in my book.

The other problem with white interior is the same problem that black exterior has. Hard to keep clean. One should plan to spend on regular detailing with white or light interior.

    Hi Mihirdhanak;

If the cost is no object, I would get:
Bianco fuji exterior/ chicolatto interior (dash + center tunnel + steering wheel) with beige chiaro stitching, carbonfiber sport pack, carbon fiber B pillars, carbon fiber rear bumper, racing seats and nero carpet. This interior spec is also doable with tri-layer yellow, if you want to have a bold car ;)
I would also add leather strap on the middle of the racing seats OR if it is possible, get the racing seats in daytona style. And your spider will be unique in the whole Gulf area :)

How about 2 tone light grey with bordeaux, with the centre of the race seats and door panels in bordeaux and the door caps dash and seat bolsters in light grey, bordeaux alcantara carpets.

Thanks for your input everyone, I will let u know what i decide in the end but for now looks like ill stick to Bianco Fuji and as for the interior ill have to check if they can do a pure white as its not on the configurator closest is crema but its not exactly white. I have a good feeling white/charcoal along with carbon fibre will turn out pretty good.

I would like to know with traffic in Dubai mostly heavy just about every where and endless bad drivers to contend with, where do you go to let the 458 beast loose? And of course avoiding the unlimited speed cameras and speed bumps is another inconvenience. Where and how do you enjoy the ferrari?

I'd like to know b'coz I want to get one.

Well if you want to let loose best place to go is dubai autodrome. I dont track my car anyway I just enjoy it usually late nights when not much traffic is there. There are few roads left without radars eg the new route going from dubai to fujairah. Theres also a long stretch of tarmac near my house and other roads here and there where you can enjoy for a few minutes. For me its enough. Speed bumps dont really come along when you drive on the main roads so its really not an issue. This is what I like about the 458 that you dont have to push it to enjoy the car, its just a pleasure to drive whether its aggressive or not.

Is the black "stellato" a triple layer color or just special mettalic?

    i beg to differ.
i have had 2 black 430s and i am planning to order a black 458 spider.
i do recommend detailing a black car yearly to remove swirl marks.
but i find black no more difficult to keep clean than any other color.

Having had two black Fcars, I have to say, never a third. Maybe it depends on the weather where you live. For the Gulf, for all reasons a very bad idea.

Was in Maranello today at the atellier, finished speccing the car, it was amazing to see all the options/colours etc, assembly line and everything that was there.
Anyway almost confirmed Rosso Fuoco for the exterior but came back to Bianco Fuji in the end, somehow I cant get away from the colour its just too good.Got to see Bianco Italia as well which is another tri layer paint but Fuji looks much better.
So its going to be bicolor, Bianco Fuji/Nero Stellato with the dark grey forged sport rims.Rosso Corsa calipers. Interior will be two tone Rosso/Nero with special contrast white stitching.Diamond style seats,White tach, Alcantara leather everywhere including the diamond pattern all around the cabin from the Tailor made Scuderia section. Lots of carbon fibre everywhere in the interior I think I ticked all the boxes, for the exterior I got CF front wings only reason for this option is because I got the front bit painted so the wings will be highlighted, sill covers, rear bumper segment, outer CF fins trim.
    Looking forward to it.
