Have to brag a little bit:

Scott Tucker won the DSR National championship today. Car was one I had a "small" design input into.

Level 3 Racing set out 3 goals for the program:

1.) Set a sub 2:00 lap time in qualifying.
2.) Set a sub 2:00 lap time in race.
3.) Win race at National runoffs in DSR

And do all this with brand new car first time in competition.

A lot or work (more than anyone knows) but it all came good today. Is nice to have been involved in a small way on the program.

But the guys who should get all the credit are the Level 5 and West Racecars guys, Really, really dedicated and good group of people. Pleasure and honor to have worked with them.

Brian, you're late for the green! <grin>

WCH, myself and a few other have already been bragging about you!

Congrats to you, Eric and his crew and the Level 5 folks!

    Real milestone!

I thought Scott tucker and Level 5 racing were out of business and the assets of the race team were auctioned off last year?

I wonder how much that race effort/win cost vs. the average joe DSR cost of running. Last year his STO winning P-bug was rumoured to be a $1/2 mill car!

He recently bought the car manufacturer so figure that into the costs!

As I posted in the other thread:

Obviously a terrific car, well done. Those lap times are impressive, and my hat's off to you.

On the other hand, I know a fair amount about DSR and the folks who've competed in the class. If I were a gentleman racer with a huge budget, infrastructure and ego looking for easy pickings, DSR might be my first choice. Keith's 7th place finish in SRF is a lot more impressive to me. I assume the Payday Loan King doesn't have the balls to run in a competitive spec class like that, though.

The car deserves some bragging. A pro race team winning an amateur national championship in DSR, IMO none at all.

The FTC allegations against Tucker are described in the link below. Tucker's lawyer has indicated he will contest the complaint.

    Brian,

Can you tell us more about the car or start a new thread with some pictures?

That press release is hilarious. Unintentionally, of course. Glad the Payday Loan King was able to triumph over some of the finest competition in the sports car racing world!

    What an utter tool.

    Nice looking car, though.

I love that the PLK added "ST01" to the name of the car!

Apparently it's good money for all involved, both inside and outside the US. ;)
