Intake and 750 cfm carb in. Found a small leak in the cooling system. New headers going in, then fluids and hopefully Monday-Tuesday she comes to life! The air cleaner is quite large in diameter. It didnt look that big in the box.LOL. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I"m in the process of doing the interior too. I will be concentrating more on it after all mechanical and electrical is done. But.... started getting parts... The steering wheel in the car is a nice wooden one. It has a De Tomaso logo on it. It feels good and looks beautiful but it's not my style. So I found the correct GT5 hub and Momo Prototipo Steering wheel. with De Tomaso horn button. Man, I love finding parts for this car!!!! Fabulous stuff. I love my Pantera, have enjoyed it for years. You did good on that steering wheel, same as the one in mine though I saved my hideous original, because I'm well, damaged. Panteras are very rewarding cars. WAY undervalued. A bargain GT40 in my estimation. Just got a Ford GT by the way; the Pantera was no small influence on the way there. Once I've spent time with the GT, I'll see if it is worth the significant premium. All I can say, is it better be good!
...but I hope you'll allow me to say hi all. Poor photo I'm afraid of my 79 Longchamp GTS. Purchased in Belgium, now residing here in London, UK. David Image Unavailable, Please Login
Longchamp...I hadn't heard of that before and had to Google it, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Tomaso_Longchamp. On first look I thought "Lancia" and per the wiki link... Thanks for the education and welcome to FChat!
Ron McCall's latest masterpiece - an 18 month ground up Group 4 build on a 1972 Pre-L. I bought a completely disassembled non-runner in April 2011 and Ron worked his magic to create this. Enjoy! Two days of shakedown runs and that's about it. Hope to get more seat time in it after the track day on the October 15.

The pictrues were taken in Ron's garage. The Annevarsario Countach is <name removed> and the tube frame 308 race car is mine. It was built by Art Sports in Japan using Jim Carpenter's body panels and ran in the 1993 IMSA race in Suzuka (DNF) in GTU class. Ron is also doing a mechanical refresh on that car.

New headers fabbed and installed. The headers from the 351 don't fit the 427, so we had to make new. The rest of the exhaust was pretty much saved. Just had to fit the flanges to the new headers. The first startup will be today!! WooHOO! The whole exhaust will then be removed and ceramic coated. So far everything is going pretty well. Its snowing here now. ... By spring, this project will be completely finished. The problem is, I'm becoming addicted!! Things that I planned to leave, I decide to change. ...maybe spring is not long enough LOL!
