+1, and let´s not forget, the mac f.1 also has a v12...a BIG ONE by the way, and a big part of the car's appeal it´s precisely the power of that fabulous BMW engine.

Maybe they'll stuff one in a FIAT "500". That I'd buy.

With such a high horsepower and downforce for road cars, I'm guessing both cars will need very bespoke (read expensive) tyres to cope with these sorts of loads?

Not really. There are tires than can take those loads without issue. At low weight it's less of an issue. Even with downforce they'll weigh less than a Veyron.

Ugh. Closed cockpit is a terrible idea, as discussed elsewhere.

And I agree that the allure of the NA V12 would far outstrip any track speed differential for me, were I anywhere nearing owning one of these.

That number from Ferrari? I don't think so.

I think that's autoblog extrapolating the 20% less weight of the tub vs the Enzo.

Is a 20% improvement in stiffness, weight etc a huge advance? Seems like they claim it is, it and it must be, just does not sound that dramatic. Amazed that suggestions are a kerb weight of just 1,100 with KERS. If that is achieved there is hope yet.

I remember I read sometime back about an issue with bolts becoming loose and the nuts falling inside the tub on the original enzo. ( I'm sure I read on here you had responded to somebody else's dilemma with this, this is why I ask).

From the pic is the alloy used there on the original too or is this a possible solution to this issue or can you not tell if this issue is addressed as its not possible to tell from these images. ?

The bolts fell into very hard to reach parts of the Enzo's Tub. Not sure if the F70 will have the same issues but hopefully it won't.

Very interesting tub comparison, especially the sill line which promnises a more exciting shape to my mind
