That is not a firm number and does not include KERS.

Power is less important on a race track than downforce. P 4/5 C only has about 530 Motor and 35 KERS HP but it beat a 599XX Ring time by 7 seconds.

I think the P12 will be lighter than the F70 and have about 964 overal HP I believe it will also have a lot more downforce.

You're getting so old. When you were driving 15 year old Scarlett Johansson around you didn't worry about stuff like that.

The good new is that Ferrari now knows what they're up against and will have the time and resources to RESPOND.

I bet they will try to increase downforce to P12 levels. I wonder if they'll now consider some kind of wing...

It's crazy how everyone here is so condescending when it comes to ferrari vs mclaren, sure this is a ferrari fan site but there's a difference between personal opinion and objectivity. Some of you act like you already know the F70 will be faster, have more bhp, or have better styling than the p1. The better the p1 then the harder Ferrari will work, benefiting us all.

Jim, what kinds of things do you see when comparing the two? Based on the new tub is it safe to assume that Enzo style doors are part of the design?

The F 70 will be compact which is good. The seats are fixed and the dash and
pedals will move which is interesting.

The chassis of the F 70 reaches further back which is good. Overall engineering seems
excellent. To make Huge downforce it will need a wing which Luca doesn't want.

When the P 12 turns a 6:45 he may change his mind.

One point about All of these. KERS is very complicated. Service may be
    challenging.

Agreed, competition is a wonderful thing (for us).

McLaren did a very nice job with the P1. I am really looking forward to the F70.

Do you KNOW there will be no wing, or speculating?

I've now seen both the MP4-12C chassis, and the Enzo replacement chassis, and can say with absolute confidence the Enzo replacement chassis is smaller! The chassis seems to be shorter from the front bulkhead forward, note the wishbone mounting positions, and angles, and create a space for the engine v.close to the rear bulkhead!

Interesting words from the girl at Ferrari stand was, the top roof section is not structural so allows different options for the chassis. I'm paraphrasing but you get the idea, perhaps another MC12.

I seriously think the Enzo replacement will be smaller than P1, which seems about the same as an MP4-12C, but longer (to my eye, from 20 ft).
