Yeah, it's in the Lewis and Schumacher threads. Didn't think he'd actually do it, but I hope that he knows something we don't (i.e. Mercedes has an advantage in development of the 2014 car). It simply can't be all about pay and 'allowing him to develop his brand'.

I won't put anything past Brawn/Haug when F1 hits the reset button...

honestly, i'll believe it when they actually announce it, articles have been wrong before ...the mercs have had reliability problems, and hami wants to be at the front, for that the mclaren is the better car

So who would be the replacement for hami in Mclaren I vote Kovalinen to come back to mclaren. Or kobayashi.

 

It also might be that Lewis feels that McLaren is no longer "his" team anymore (like it was 2008-2010). Perhaps rightly or wrongly, the team's favored driver is Button since 2011. I think it's pretty clear that Whitmarsh prefers Button, just check his reaction as to when Button wins compared to when Hamilton wins. Maybe he is justified, Jenson is more PR friendly, etc; but still, now they lost of the big three (along with Vettel and Fernando).

Either Alguersuari or Guiterrez (spelling)? Jaime says he is 100% sure that he's going to be in F1 next year, and Guiterrez is Sauber's test driver and brings in Mexican funding as well.

Estaban Gutierrez is Slim's protege number two and a Sauber test/reserve diver. I´d be natural for Peter Sauber to have him since they still need Telmex´s money.

So far this season, the McLaren is doing much better than the Mercedes. So as others have stated, why would Hamilton leave a sort of sure thing for a not so sure thing?
