I'm excited to see how Hamilton does relative to Nico. As for McLaren - Button/Perez? NOT WORRIED! We could have some glory years ahead of us for the Scuderia especially if they lock down Vettel! I applaud Hamilton going to Mercedes, that takes balls.
Can't miss an opportunity to hate on MS! You catch Michael's quote about Mercedes/LH? He is a class act.
That's a serious bet sir. Nico dominated GP2 just like Hamilton did, they will be neck and neck is my bet.
Oh and Perez and the Ferrari Academy were not an impediment for him to move...such as you postured and let the rest of us know. Perez moved. So what else do you know.
So true and I can almost guarantee that was the deciding factor for Lewis not that there is anything wrong with it. Just like in a real life marriage a F1 marriage is sometimes just not meant to last. I have always been an odd duck in the sense that I have always supported certain teams aswell as drivers and and if a driver I support moves to a team not on my list I will still back that driver, same goes for the team with a driver I do not care for. I am weird I know, lol.
I do not back drivers. I back race teams. Drivers come and go. The reason I knew this was going to happen is simple. I know how Ron Dennis thinks. I do not know Ron but we Yanks do have an American equivalent in Roger Penske, who I had business dealings with many years ago, and he does not tolerate bad driver behaivor. Even if it means losing a years championship.
What happened to not responding to my posts? You still, tragically, are unable to read or comprehend what I say. I said IF he moves, I've be willing to bet Ferrari got cut a large check. There's no way of knowing if they did or not, but do you think Ferrari would cut someone loose from their young driver program for free? As for things I know: You can't read, your idiotic ramblings about Scuderia Alonso are laughable, and you like to attempt gloating when the crux of my entire original point went completely over your head, which is funny....albeit a little sad.
In general I agree but there are the rare few that are for the ages. Lewis might have been one of them but it looks less and less likely.
I am not keen on the Ferrari Academy details so maybe you can enlighten me? I had the impression that being taken into the academy was Ferrari's choice of who they select but your implying it is baught into? If a driver had to pay to get into the academy why would Ferrari get a check cut to them or is it like canceling ones contract with their mobile carrier ie an early cancellation fee? Also do we actually know if Perez's academy membership status was automatically cancelled because he intered into a contract with just another team or because McLaren is Ferrari's biggest rival? Maybe he is still a member of the academy?
He was just at the Ferrari simulator a couple weeks ago. This is strange to say the least. But when you snooze you lose, have fun with Massa...
+1 as well. Major teams endure for the most part. Drivers are always a commodity and expendable to suit the teams.
I can only assume this is directed at Ferrari and not me? You still did not answer my question though and I was in no way implying anything I was just looking for some insight as you seem to know more about this than I do.
Yes it was meant towards Ferrari haha. I will be angry if Massa is back. It would be sad if Perez goes on and beats the Ferraris next year being "not ready" for a Ferrari drive and all.
Interesting... Well he has been destroyed by Kobayashi in qualifying and I can't think of a race where he got a great result being on the same strategy as everyone else. He has a LOT to prove and McLaren is taking a gamble. With Ferrari, it would have been worth a gamble over Massa, but we'll see how he does.
