    Here's my theory on his future. He will buy into Sauber next year( Peter Sauber wont be able to afford him) and either drive or run the team. He definitley has the financial backing from his sponsors to do so. He will then recruit Brawn from Mercedes as I believe his days are also numbered. In 2014 when Vettel's contract is up, they will recruit him. At that point MS will stop driving and play a management role. In 2014 Sauber will win a championship with Vettel.

    After today why not! :) I agree I give Nico and Ross 2 more years. LH is safe a proven winner. The board grew tired of MS and the lack of results etc. Now they have to deliver. If not Ross and probably Nico are gone. 2 years.

    Mercedes hasn't delivered yet. They wanted to get someone more long term than MS who was still mulling over his future but I wouldn't twist it into saying they "fired" MS due to lack of results.

    The lack of results can be put directly on Mercedes in most instances.

    I dont know what you're smoking but send some my way!

    I don't see Schumacher wanting to stop, but I also dont see him wanting to use his own money to drive. if he wants to race he can go to any other mid field team.... they would love him for the expertise alone. I dont see him either being a management guy at any time in the near future if ever. He's a racer - driver -adrenlin junky....

    I said in July that I had a feeling he was going to Ferrari. Think about it ... Ferrari needs a one year driver and even in their arrogance they probably feel that showing him the door 6 years ago was done in poor style. I think Ferrari would have a massive PR coup by signing MS for a farewell year. I don't even think Alonso would veto it.

    Mike need a ride mrB what's a real big German car company and old slim what's a good investment . No one in f1 can get the cash like mike he sold 400 million in red gear a year that why he left Ferrari LDM what that 25 % back what a fool

    I like this. And why not? Consider they already have brought Niki Lauda into the fold, to do what? Replace RB?

    You just described one of my friend's wet dream.

    Peter Sauber is now 70 and wants to retire (again, hey, just like MS!). His lady manager is running the business side, but they need a tech savvy old fox on the pitwall. MS would fit that profile to a T.

    And lets not forget: It was Peter Sauber's endurance racers which brought MS into the limelight of serious motorracing. So the connection is not that far fetched.
