I picked up this beautiful FF yesterday from Midwestern Auto Group in Dublin OH!! I still have my California and will save it for the really nice warm days. The FF is really amazing, it is a secret super car!! I thought my Cali V8 sounded great at 7 or 8,000 RPM, this 12 cylinder engine sounds insane. It has unbelieveable torque and is a ball to drive. I drove through very heavy rain on the way home and blasted around other cars, even a string of cars with abosolute full control. I had the dealer put Sottozero's on it all ready getting ready for our winter, saving the PZero's for next spring. It has the High Power radio and it sounds WAY WAY better than the California with a standard radio. It sounds more like I am sitting in my living room ... this option is WELL worth the money. I will put the full option set in the next post. I am extremely fortunate, what a wonderful looking, smelling, and SOUNDING machine.

Ultimate daily driver ,best that could be out there.
I like Silverstone, never a mistake as a color choice but White inserts or seats are big no no for me,I wear denims most of the time and they badly discolor the leather.

I wear jeans all the time too and never had trouble with the beige interior of my Cali nor my wife's Porsche with cream interior ... until I got some "Ballroom" jeans from Duluth Trading and they put blue on everything. I finally got rid of them and no trouble with other jeans. Their advertisements are great, jeans are not at all colorfast.

I'm stuck with RLs,the only Brand that fits me (I'm 6'5" and wear size 34 waist/36 long)and they badly discolor all light color leathers.

I had seen a Silverstone FF and admired it greatly. It is dark enough to lend a formality to the car but lights up with much "pop" in sunlight.

    Enjoy it in good health.

    Congrats Rick!

Very happy for you, and enjoy it in good health man!

I agree with you about the jeans. I used to buy more "expensive" jeans from fashion companies. I have, in the last year or more, been going back to basic Levi's. I think they fit me better, wear better and have had ZERO problems with my Cuoio interior in my California or my previous Cognac interior in my recently traded Cayenne Turbo.

    No smudging, bleeding, etc.

    Again, congrats!

The interior is a bit much for my taste, but I hope you enjoy it as much as your California! :)

    Congratulations,

Interested to read in the future how you compare this with your Cali.

Hope you don't miss having the top down too much, although sounds like you have the best of both by keeping the Cali. Enjoy!

That is just fantastic looking Rick, you better detail your experiences in this car as well as you do in the Cali!

Was this car's specs and options done by you or are you saying it was to be a demo until you snagged it?

Gorgeous car, wish I was nearer to go for a ride! ;)

Save the Cali for the warm days? I recall a time when you'd take the Cali out in 18" of snow!
You're getting soft in your years!
Seriously, the FF is bloody gorgeous.
    Many congrats!!

Thanks all! This car was spec'd by the dealer as a demo car but never had a demo mile on it because they still had their first demo car. The first is still there, metalic black and I like real black, not metalic, and this silverstone had a prettier interior. The dealer extended the demo time on the black one for me so I could take silverstone. If I had ordered one it would not be delivered until May so I took this one.

I took my daughter to school today, about a 30 minute drive each way on both country roads and city roads. I am just beginning to get used to the new sounds the engine makes, both from the exhaust and from the intake, and the combination of which is rediculous and addicting. I sit here typing this crap and would FAR rather be out in the FF making more sweet music:D although I guess I have some business to attend to as well:).

It is taking a little time to get used to the buttons on the steering wheel. Flashing the lights at an idiot for pulling in front of me is being difficult to remember without taking my eyes off of the road, but this is only day 4 in the car:).

The doors are MUCH bigger than the Cali, and it is far easier to get into. The seats are wider and more comfortable.

The power level as I already have said is insane. In first gear the tach doesn't seem to keep up with the actual rpm as I hit the limiter once already thinking I was shifting plenty early. All of this with snow tires on it. It will be really interesting next spring when I put the PZero's back on it.

More to come I am sure:)
