You utterly missed my point. It's not that Perez is an amazing driver, it's that Massa sucks in comparison.

    I don't like it, I don't know why, petty I suppose.

Oh and yeh baby I don't like. great driver that's what matters, just a shame Ham is out of the WDC hunt.

I suppose so, I'd say very unlikely now, however in interview, he was happy for JB, and asked if he expected Button to let him by because he was closer in points, he said no, it would hardly make any difference, seems to me he has given up on it as well.

Riiiight, that's why Massa (someone that has underperformed consistently) was able to swing it around and hold P2 with a very comfortable margin over Kobe & button & Hamilton all throughout the race...

The only runaway here is RB, with qualy & fp consistently running in the low 1:31s. The Ferrari is NOT the fastest car, but definitely not OUT.

Let's also not forget the yellow flag on the last lap of Q3, Alo was already .2s faster in S1 than Vettel's fastest so there was no shred of doubt from Scuderia and Alo that he would've at least finished higher on the grid, but let's not talk what-if's. Fact is the F2012 is not faster than RB but it's competitive, hopefully enough for Alo to keep his lead for the next few races.

RB is expecting another raft of updates at Korea so let's see if it boosts them further or slows them down on the track. They are the car to beat.

Mclaren are going to be incredibly quick in Korea so I would say they have the primary advantage there followed very closely by Red Bull. Alonso has a major mathematical factor which he and Ferrari cannot escape and the odds are seriously against him due to the car. Alonso must score at least one point more than Vettel at each rad for the remainder of the season. After seeing the Red Bull in Singapore and today, that is not a bet I would take. I predict Alonso will end the season 3rd in the WDC actually. Ferrari were quick today but they cannot qualify where the top cars can which is what will ultimately due them in

And Alonso's WDC lead thus far without a doubt has been gifted to him. Whether it be someone in front of him being involved in an incident or breaking down, weather, whatever, the car and Alonso so on merit have rarely been WDC material. Kimi's situation is similar in that they both have terrible teammates which assists in their qualy or race positioning or in Kimi's case acting as a front or tail gunner!

Ferrari are faster than RBR on some tracks...not Suzuka or Spa. The set-up is very important.

True. But I'm seeing Red Bull since Singapore come into its own. Today simply verified it as will next weekend, CotA, and definitely Brazil.

And don't forget the accidents- One race, Vettel is in the race while Alonso is out and watching him from the garage TV. Another race, Alonso is in the race while Vettel is out and watching him from the garage TV. They've been doing this a few times this year. That is one way Vettel secured his points, and Alonso lost his.

During the drivers parade today they brought Alonso around in this classic Ferrari, but what is it exactly?

Also pre-race they did a demo of some old F1 cars taking a couple laps. I forgot how amazingly awesome the F2003 sounded. Hearing the F2003 and then today's F1 cars made me realize just how bad the new ones sound :(

I took about 2500 pics over the weekend, but haven't had time to really look through them yet. Will post more as I find the gems.

NO but the gap to the Ferrari was the issue. The car is not fast enough for either driver at this point. You simply dont like the reality of it lol!

    Comprehend this from Alonso---
"Great race by Felipe Massa. Fantastic podium."

Ok, so you don't like Massa...

But since Kamui could travel light years in just 40 laps, there's hope for Massa yet ;).

    Congrats to Kobi-San. Well done!

Sauber now even has a chance to catch MB in the WCC. Interesting development.

This could happen with a 30 points lead. But with only 4 it´s impossible. Even if our boys manage to fix the car, they´d need a pair of races to close the huge speed advantage that Vettel has now, so by then they´d be 20 points down with only 2-3 races to go. It´s not over till it´s over. But now it´s almost over.

Hey, looking at the bright side of life, I have to admit that we did a lot better than expected after the disastrous beginning of the season. Even McLaren is not too far, so a 2nd is possible (as if that matters...)

+1 great year overall for Ferrari and the car. It could be far worse and FA is still in the lead and could win the WDC. Not a bad year at all.

I am no expert, but it appears to be one of the 225 Sport Spiders bodied by Vignale. I looked for photos of one with the fog lamps and portholes on the side but couldn't match it up with a specific chassis number.

Well, I wouldn´t be so optimistic. I´m not worried about this season, but about what can happen in the years to come. A top team can´t produce such a bad car like the F2012 was at the start of the season, even if they manage to (almost) fix it mid season. And I´m specially worried about the aero dept. that wasn´t able to bring any update since 3 or 4 months ago nor fix the wind tunnel in 2 years.

Right now, we´re a in hard reset back to 1996. There is still a lot of job to do.

A direct result of LdM's failed plan of "Italians first".
