Welcome my friends, to the Third Annual Frosty Balls Drive. For those new to the drill, Beginning in March of 1927, brave men in open cockpits braved the elements for days on end as they competed in the Mille Miglia 1000 mile drive across Italy. In 1947, in order to fund his racing program, Enzo reluctantly produced his first road car. It had no top, no amenities whatsoever, and was a thinly disguised race car. In 1968, ferrari introduced Air Conditioning and Power Steering to the American Market In 1976, Ferrari introduced the first car with an automatic transmission. In 1987, Ferrari introduced ABS into its road cars. On August 14, 1988, Enzo Ferrari died. In 1996, Ferrari introduced traction control In 2009, Ferrari produced its first car with cupholders In 2010, Ferrari announced it would no longer make manual transmissions in its new 8 cylinder line--the 458. Do you see where I am going with this... For one day a year, we toss out modern conveniences and enjoy our cars in the elements in the third annual FROSTY BALLS DRIVE. The seasonal colors should still be in full bloom and it should be thoroughly entertaining. This year brings with it a new theme. As some of you may be aware, I believe that our very own JoeMac suffers from a rare metabolism disorder brought on by excess estrogen I am not a Doctor, but it would explain his high voice and Kate Moss figure We can no longer sit idly by while he wastes away on a steady diet of fruit cup and exlax. We are taking a stand...this year... we are going to say loud and proud...we are there for you Joe. This year, our theme is...... FEED JOEMAC!!!!!!!!!!!! We are asking that everyone bring canned fruit, vegetables or meat to FEED JOEMAC. Anything left over will be donated to charity. The date: November 10, 2011/rain date November 11th. Departing at 10:00 after C&C. Returning 100 miles later for a nice lunch at a restaurant TBD. This will be a casual drive. Enjoying the scenery, etc. Here are the rules. Basically, last year almost everyone cheated...so this year we are getting a bit more hard core. Every participant in the drive will have his windows sealed in the open position with painters tape. For every car that arrives at the final destination with the windows still sealed open, our law firm, Ahmad & Zaffarese, LLC, will donate $10.00 to the Chester County Hospital. For coupe occupants, if the occupants wear shorts or a T-shirt, our law firm will donate an additional $5.00 for every occupant. Every Convertible operator who keep the top down will get an additional $5.00 donation per occupant as well. If you use your radio, bluetooth, cell phone, navigation or anything else that plugs into anything, you will be punted from the drive and no donation made on your behalf. We will also donate an additional $5.00 per participant who wears a piece of flair in support of this year's theme "FEED JOEMAC!" Our firm will donate up to $500.00, and we would love it if participants would donate as well. Now, if you are afraid of getting sniffle or messing up your finely cultivated bouffant hairdo you can roll up the windows and turn on the heat….but it will cost you. Every participant who does not complete the rally in compliance with the above rules will be required to donate $20.00 to our charity. So, is there a competition you ask? Well of course there is How do you win? Stamina and creativity! Like last year, Points will be awarded for flair devoted to the marque to which you are driving Points will be awarded for those braving the elements to the maximum. Points will be awarded for face painting, etc. Basically, if you drive 100 miles without any amenities, freeze your A$$ off and look like a complete schmuck in the process...YOU WIN! So whose in?
Ok, ok... I will change the date to 2012. I guess none of you big spenders can afford a fricken time machine. Jeez, was I asking to much!

If you have a navigator, well, we need several navigators to follow the route instructions, please +1 so we can have the proper number of seats at the restaurant. Thanks!

Last year ironically I was in Florida during the Frosty Balls. The year before I participated. That was the year Steve drove his F355 with his shirt off ( burned into my memory). This year I am in town and in for the FBR! Jon in Delaware JoeZaff DonB +1 CurtisC63 (whether or not a time machine is needed. I know a delorean owner) Scott Wexlin Jay AlanRS Merle Jon in Delaware
I can't make it because I work every Saturday. That being said, if anyone wants to do a REAL frosty balls drive, contact me in Jan-Feb. My car will still be in service.
Mark me as "probable". I will know within a week or so whether I can make it for sure. - Eric JoeZaff DonB +1 CurtisC63 (whether or not a time machine is needed. I know a delorean owner) Scott Wexlin Jay AlanRS Merle Jon in Delaware Eric + 1
