    The Grant Thomas Art Studio is proud to announce the one-man exhibition of my work debuting in October! On display will be an exciting selection of my works from my 25 year career as an Automotive Artist. Ferrari will be most prominent, but other makes will be represented as well, such as DeLorean, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini and McLaren.

    Going in take wall measurements and organizing what painting goes where on a scale drawing on the Mac... hoping for around 40 images. Some are large but with the use of the front window and easels placed on the floor I foresee that being possible...

    Prints are coming in from Quebec.

    Four prints arrived yesterday... three DeLoreans and one Roll Royce. Still planning for around 40 works...

    Picked up the paintings from Debbie's Cafe and replaced them with ones that won't be in the show. (pic below)

    Frame and mounting matte arrived Friday for the new large drawing "Companions" featuring a DMC-12.
    Booked some time on Saturday to assemble it but when it was unwrapped the frame was scuffed during delivery!
    A replacement is being rushed-shipped by the manufacturer but wont be here till WEDNESDAY!
    Cutting it kinda close...
    At least we can measure it and plan the show around it and save the appropriate space.

    Starting to deliver works on Monday!

    Delivering the second batch of paintings this afternoon...

    Carrying a McLaren, F430 spider, 360 Modena, two F1 Sharknoses, a Miura and a 333SP among others in my Buick.

    And Felipe Massa in the trunk.

    Work is now 80% installed on the walls.
    Gallery owner was so impressed with the quality of work she enlarged the area that I am exhibited in. 3 or walls at the back was given. Now more than 45 works are to be displayed!

    Going to be a great show...

    Making title cards now. Gathering food and wine tomorrow.

    Saw the DMC-12 frame arrive today and they are assembling it this afternoon.

    Things are coming together...

    Just noticed the Thread title has the wrong dates.
    To reaffirm:
    Show starts this Friday Oct 19th with the Grand Opening from 6-9
    It continues till Nov 17th.

    (Info stated in the opening post was right... just the Thread title was incorrect.)

    Just found out the Toronto Star Newspaper is covering the show!
    Interview set prior to the show-opening so as to get photos.

    Tomorrow night is just around the corner...

    I have a couple of DeLoreans and a Bricklin requested to come and am arranging some parking out front.
    Anyone that would want to bring their Ferrari, it would be appreciated and I could save a couple more spaces out in front of the gallery... we could have quite a unique lineup! :)
