After reading one of the other threads it go me thinking about people having bad/negative experiences in their Ferraris. Luckily I've never experienced it while driving, but have you?

No. Most people around here don't pay too much attention to exotic cars. I'm happy about that.

SC was another matter. I will NEVER drive my car back to my hometown. The constant attention was way over the top and a nuisance.

I ran over a root knuckle driving the Dino thru the woods and busted a coolant hose, dumped all my coolant followed by a huge cloud of steam.

About 15 years ago know, my 348ts died at the first spot at the light on a very busy street, right at 5 o'clock. Had no power, had no lights, it was dead dead..

Besides that, everything has been great.

    Define 'bad experience' .

Has anyone displayed a rude gesture towards me when I had the 355 ? Sure. Was it a bad experience ? No, as I didnt care.

If by 'bad experience' you mean my car dying at 3am in the middle of nowhere as I was driving home ? Yes...

If by 'bad experience' you mean it starting to rain and the top on the 355 decides to stop working ? Yes...

Only once - I was driving down the road in Lawton, OK probably two years ago and some redneck in a beatup pickup truck tried to change lanes onto me (he was in the left lane and I was in the right, so I honked the horn to let him know I was there, then I backed off so he could move over. I wasnt moving at more than 35mph. He didnt, he slowed down then swerved at me as if he were trying to hit me. Then he flipped me off and made a left turn.

Other than that, everything else has been really good for me. Yeah, I have had a couple of issues that were difficult to work on, but thats just part of it being a Ferrari!!! I can deal with that.

Some ***** spat her gum on my window once which stuck between the glass and the door....was about to gently return it to the source but traffic moved on and the mrs was yelling to let it go!! probably a good idea as I was absolutely livid!

Only neg encounter so far, every other one very positive! The best are the kids, even really young...they can just tell its something special!

    Ouch! Probably looked very dramatic!
Originally i meant negative responces from others, but i guess it could mean breakdowns too etc.

I remember breaking down in one of my cars on the way back from a Ferrari event. The most annoying thing is I was only 10 minutes from home but it took me 3 hours to get the car towed back!

Similar experience i had in a 911 i once owned. Happily driving in the middle lane and a white van sweves at me for no reason. No doubt that he was trying to crap me up, and was pure jealousy. Glad to say never experienced much more that that.

I do remember seeing a 355 once with the roof down driving along. Some idiot had thrown an egg at the engine cover and it was all over it. Not sure the owner even realised. Sad really.

    Postive experiences: a LOT
    Negative: a few

Have been called a ***g0t a few times while driving the F (although my gf was also in the car)
My car broke down once and haters came from EVERYWHERE (was actually quite entertaining while I was waiting for the tow car :))
A guy tried to block me from overtaking him (2 lane road) by driving in the middle (+ the usual middlefinger).
A guy acted like he was gonna hit my F on purpose but steered away at the last moment

Thats about it I think in the 7 years I've owned Ferrari's. Now that I think of it, all bad experiences were from younger guys (18-25 yo). Guess it's just jealousy.

All positive so far, but I have only owned my car a year.

I do worry about people behind me, next to me trying to take a picture while driving...

Holland yes. I had most bad experiences when I just got the Ferrari. Might had to do with my age (25 at the time). Since I'm in my 30's, all is good and everyone is happy :D

substantially all positive. People love Ferraris, especially the 360. If somebody did flip me the bird I would just wave back like they were being friendly.

If you can't remember anything negative it didn't happen.

I remember getting a phone call from my wife: who is that girl riding with you in your Ferrari?

Me: I am not driving the Ferrari.

She: I wondered why you didn't wave back.

I've caught fire a few times, but the sex has been great...

Wait, do you mean bad experiences with OTHER motorists????

I've put a few out, that were on fire, and the sex has been great.

When you have a nice car (esp one that cost more than a lot of people make in a year), occasionally you will run into knuckle heads.

When I first got my Cayenne, someone egged it and caused paint damage to the door. When I first got my Aston Martin, someone pulled onto the shoulder of the road and sprayed me with rocks.

Haven't had any bad experiences with the Ferrari, but it still early ;).

Come to the uk, not a drive goes by without either rude gestures, shouting of profanities, threats or someone trying to keep you behind them on the road by driving like a muppet and slowing down. Jealousy is really rife here, but there are still a lot of people who want to take photos, cheer, smile and wave too
