I usually don't start separate threads for photoshoots since I have a photography thread in the Silver section, but I thought this was too special to not have its own thread. This weekend, Mike (frefan) and I trailered his F40 to the Bonneville Salt Flats for a photoshoot. I've ALWAYS wanted to do a shoot there, so when Mike approached me with the idea, I was ecstatic. We left Friday afternoon and got to Wendover, UT in the evening. We got up relatively early (left hotel at around 7:15am) and headed to the Salt Flats...only to discover that there was an inch or more of standing water from a rainstorm that occurred the previous day. There was no way we were going to drive 7 hours and not do a shoot because of the water. We unhitched the trailer from his truck and drove out to see if we could find any dry patches...we did. We rushed back to get the trailer and went out to our dry patch which was about 2 miles from the road. It took about 30 minutes to unload the F40; we even laid towels on the salt so the tires wouldn't come in contact with the corrosive substance. Once the F40 was completely off the trailer, we rolled it off the towels for the shoot. It was very surreal; a glistening red F40...white salt flats for as far as the eye could see, and a dramatic sky over-head. We spent about 90 minutes on the photoshoot before we loaded the F40 back into the trailer and headed home. I'm extremely pleased with the results of the photos and it will be a trip I won't soon (if ever) forget. Here's one "official" photo for now along with some "behind the scenes" photos taken with my iPod.

    Thanks!

I don't have it. The owner of the F40 is a member on this forum so maybe he will chime in.

    More photos on the way.

That is a great picture. It's going to be my next background for sure.
You're pictures are normally my background because you are very talented
Any chance you'll do a shoot with the stradale that was in the background in one of your recent pictures?

Thank you both very much!! I really appreciate thekind words. You guys will really enjoy the other photos I have from this shoot. Duke, let me know if you want high resolution versions. As for the CS, yes a shoot is in the works. We were going to do it last week, but the car suffered a door ding so we will wait.

I've been downloading them off of flickr but I'll probably start emailing you now.

I'm looking forward to the CS shoot. It's one of my favorite cars along with the F40

The best photoshoot you have done so far by a large margin.

Stunning pics. Could have been any Ferrari and it would still be stunning pics.

    Fantastic job!
