I recently had the chance to experience a Countach for the very first time, I have been a life long fan of Lamborghini since I first saw a yellow on white Countach in the early 80's when I was a young boy!

I drove a very special 4 litre Lowbody car for well over 100 miles, WHAT A MACHINE!
I honestly never ever expected it to be this good, first the looks of the car there is no other car on the world that makes as much as an impression as a Countach, people just stare in awe at the car it looks as amazing and out of this world as when it came out in the 70's.
Then the best part, driving the car, the sound of the engine when you push the throttle is intoxicating to say the least, the car handles like a go kart, steering is very quick and precise, the brakes very good for its age, if you close your eyes you would have no doubt you are driving a Group C Le Mans racing car!
I had always read bad comments about journalists complaining about the heavy steering, clutch, gearbox, no visibility, what did they expect??? they should get an old Cadillac if that is what they are looking for.
I actually found the car to be surprisingly comfortable, the seats are very good, the controls are not as heavy as you would expect them to be and it performed perfectly even in traffic jams (I got in a 30 min traffic jam)!!
I truly believe this car is one of the all time greats, you have to experience it first hand to really appreciate the exoticism of this car in every way! I was a die hard Miura fan and I never thought I would say this but the Countach has taken its spot!

Still hurts to see that after all these years. Surely someone somewhere knows what happened to that car.

In color. Even the tires were painted red! Michael Scarlett, who wrote the piece for Autocar magazine, wasn't aware that the car being crash tested was in fact the prototype. MIRA told me the crashed vehicle would remain Lamborghini's property after the crash test.

That is real allright. The only inj. with stripes I know from CT is a Red/white leather from New Haven. Was the front bumper an annive bumper?
If it is not that car then we have a new one in Connect.

Peter, you probably know better than I do, but doesn't Tony still have a Red w/White Countach 5000QV? I thought when I bought mine from him he mentioned that he did have another one as well that he was keeping.

I think he does. But the Fla plates would make me question if it was him. From what I remember he is in the automotive business with a shop. Possible dealer/repair plates.

I think Patrick would know better than me.
