The 456 market is a relatively thin one, that is, hard to find the right car when you're looking for one to buy and hard to find the right buyer when you have one to sell.

I figured it would be an interesting thread idea to have us in this section keep an eye out for any 456 cars for sale in your region and post a link to them here in this thread.
It will help us keep track of current market trends for these beautiful cars and people looking to buy one can check the latest posts in this thread for any that might still be for sale.

    Usual disclaimer:
    - these should be cars you have no personal connection with (not your car for sale, you're not a dealer or broker, etc.) OR ...
    - it is your car and you're a subscribed user and referencing a link to an ad in FerrariAds, OR ...
    - you are a dealer and a current sponsor here on fchat.

When you post a link to a car for sale, try to include the model year of the car, the miles on the odometer, the exterior and interior colors, the type of transmission, the VIN, and the asking price.

If this thread works out, we might want to start similar threads for the 550 and 575 cars too.

I'll start with the first 456-car-for-sale link in the next post.

Yes. The red looks fantastic against the dash and body color. Love it. If this car is sorted that seems like a great price...

This car was in great shape, but I decided on a 550. The seller is in legal hot water with the SEC, and he will tell you that. Trying to raise cash to pay attorneys, he says.

Price is high, but it was the best 456 I saw during my search. Had $10k of major service and sorting at the Ferrari dealer this year.

No affiliation whatsoever with the seller (see above), get a PPI!

Has anyone here had a look at this one? Looks very nice and a great colour combo, but must have stories for this price (as do all this dealer's cars).

    Manual transmission. VIN is ZFFSP44AXS0101887.

    I love this thread.
I would likely take a black GT immediately.
The Rubino you just listed is tempting, but I would have to get used to the idea.
I wasn't prepared for Rubino and chamos interior; it does look great.

    Cheers

I ran a carfax on this car which indicated that it was declared a total loss in Florida last year. Later, a Florida "flood car" title was issued and the car showed up in Pennsylvania. Guess there's a good reason why it's cheap (and probably not cheap enough). I have a 308 GTS now but have decided to reward myself for managing to survive 60 years by buying myself a 456 or 550 so I've started a search. This is a great thread!

I ran a Carfax last week too. I spoke to the dealer, he said it had water in the number 1 cylinder and bent a conn rod - that was the extent of the water damage. He has fixed it and done a belt service and replaced the water pump and some other stuff. He said it has dash shrinkage and the headliner was hanging or something. He said it has a regular PA title with a "W" in the "box", whatever that means, so it can't be passed off as totally normal.

Looks almost exactly like my car, except for the carpet color. The leather has shrunk around the air bag and will need to be redone. Also look at the leather on the rear deck. Service records, especially changing the transmission fluid and screens, are very important. I like the car a lot, especially the interior, because it looks so striking. From the outside, the car is very subdued and isn't an attention magnet. Haven't gotten a ticket in it yet. :)

I called the dealer on this car and he immediately told me the car had a salvage title due to water damage - turns out he specializes in salvage cars and was very open about it.
That was enough for me, but enjoyed talking to the guy. He had some interesting cars and knew their background.

I spoke to him last week (see post above) and he was very open with me too. I still love the car in those colours, but it would have the water damage stigma forever. Still pondering whether I could live with that.
