I've noticed some new Ferraris appear to have black coloured badges instead of chrome badges at the rear. Namely the horse and ferrari script. Is this a factory option or something that owners have had done?

Personally i think it looks the business.

Black Cavallino Rampante factory standard only on the 599 GTO as it was on the orginal GTO.

In 2006 Ferrari asked us to do that with Ferrari by Pininfarina's badging and rear Cavallino.

That 599 GTO also has the black carbon fiber center wheel caps instead of the traditional yellow ones.
Starting to see these black wheel caps on more and more new Ferraris.

The black centercaps were an option on the GTO....$750.00 for the set.

Wow. Just wow. Tidy little profit margin they have there. I once bought an entire functioning MGB for that amount, although I can't remember what color the wheel center caps were.

Better than if I had spent $750 on 4 plastic wheel caps. :)

Now, If you wanted me to spend a stupid amount of money to get some colored thread to sew my leather together, I could get behind that.

The fender shields also has them on the 599 Aperta. And I have seen them on other new Ferrari's too. Seems that the only logo you cant change is the front logo on the hood.
