If you hear hoof beats its best to assume its a horse not a zebra.
Phil may have been quicker but absent proof Alonso gets the benefit of the doubt.

I´m pretty sure i would have a lot more fun if i understod half of what you sai :)!!!!!
Of course like Alonso's dnf in Spa, it´s not your fault my english is so limited but truth is, my last english class was more than 20 years ago and (although i was a pretty good student and know a big part of Europe and have been in 4 continents) i never was at a place where english was the oficial language so, writing in places like Ferrarichat is almost the only way i have to practice english, so most of the times you use "funny" words it becomes a bit difficult to come up with a decent response!!!

I have no doubt that your English is much better than my Italian(?).
If I haven't communicated as well as I might I'm sorry.

Portuguese (my italian is pretty basic, good enough to read anything and to speak a litle but not to write) )....and i wasn´t criticizing your communication skills in any way, on the contrary, i was simply stating that somethimes there are a few words or prhases, that are a litle unusual to me and i´m left scratching my head!!! But that´s not your fault but mine, and i see this as an oportunity to extend my vocabulary.

If I'm not communicating as well as I might its on me not you.
If you need translation of any arcane or obscure bits let me know.

Truth is I learn more here than I contribute.

I've never had trouble understanding your posts. Your english seems pretty good to me, impressive considering your last class was 20 years ago!

Capisco perfettamente, ma anche il tuo italiano non sembra male

PS: from Portuguese to Italian or spanish it´s not that difficult, we all share latin as the same origin....problem is, if you speak italian for a couple of hours, and then you try to speak spanish it will be a big mess for the first 20 minuts (and vice-versa)!!!

With VIZSLA, I've been forced to doubt my own existential reality.

If I'm not real, are all of you similarly not real - just figments of the imagination of an imaginary being? What does this all mean?

    So many questions...

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I very much doubt that! :D

We native speakers can't follow him half the time either! ;)

You're doing just fine, and I hasten to add a lot better than many "native" speakers round here! :) I don't agree with many of your opinions, but you're expressing them well, which is all that matters.

    Cheers,
    Ian

Flattering yourself by saying you're a native speaker.
    Aren't you British?

That one was a bit nasty!!! I know what i would answer if a Brazilian told me the same ;)

PS: Ian, we don't desagree that much, we both think Massa doens't suck and we are both happy he stays at Ferrari.....we both agree Fernando is a very good driver (although your " very good" is a lot better than mine!!!)....fact is, the only fault i see in you is to actualy like the bastard!!!

    :p ;)

I still regularly receive the "speak English, damnit!" comment..... Err, exactly what language are we talking here?.....

Me and the boys can turn on encryption when they visit, but that's a whole other story.

    Cheers,
    Ian
