I felt the same way. My eyes were glued to the TV. I've always been a Hardy fan. I'm happy he's getting it together!

I was really impressed with Wiman's submission win over Sass. That was an incredible chess match on the ground, and Wiman just kept cool and calm until he could capitalize, and he did so beautifully.

How about Struve with the striking? Very impressive as well. I am starting to appreciate this guy, looking more and more convincing every time I see him fight.

Beautiful KO of Jabouin by Pickett. I knew it was a possibility, but didn't expect to see Jabouin taken out like that.

Great fight between Hardy and Sadollah. Hardy has made some very impressive improvements in his grappling - he really showed that he is working towards becoming a complete martial artist instead of only striking. Great back and forth between the two.

Anyone catch UFC on FX 5 yesterday? Pretty good card, again.

Travis Browne came into that fight looking a little cocky, which I guess can be expected with an undefeated record, but Silva took control and looked impressive KOing him. It will be interesting to see who Silva will get next.

Good scrap between Hieron and Ellenberger. That fight could have gone either way.

Impressive win by Dodson. That guy is going to make a mark in that division. I believe he is getting the next title shot after this win, and a fight with Mighty Mouse is going to be amazing. Cannot wait for that one.

Sad to see Neer's career on the downside. I love the guy's grittiness, but he simply looked outclassed against Edwards.

Easily the best fight of the night was Pierce's comeback win over Simpson. Absolutely amazing.........I did not see that coming.

    Undercard was great as well.

So many UFC events lately - hard to tune into other organizations' events!

Yeah, it was a pretty good card!! We don't get Fuel TV out here, so didn't see the prelim's.
I like Dodson and Bigfoot, so was glad to see them both get wins.

I got tickets the other day for UFC on Fox 5. Pretty stacked card with a title fight- Diaz vs. Henderson.

UFC card was good. i'm happy for Bigfoot. BIG win for him. Dodson looked very good. I hope they don't rush him to a title shot. I also watched Bellator. I love watching those HEAVY'S bang!

Wasn't Dodson's fight billed as a number 1 contender title elimination fight? is next in line for the title fight, right? I agree, TUF, and two fights is too quick to get a title shot.

UFC jumps the shark: Sonen vs. Jones....
So much for credibility in the sport.

I disagree. Why do you say that?

I bet Sonnen will give Jones the toughest fight he has had in the UFC so far.........

    Hey Dan,
TUF ratings have been tanking, Sonnen has no record at LHW, so as I look at it, this is more a fight/ TUF series based on ability to hype an event than to bring the best LHW to contest the belt.
People who were actually in line for the title fight (Henderson, Machida) get bumped for no reason other than DW is pissed at them??? That's just how I see it....

No. Bones was injured in arm bar attempt by Belfort and can't fight against until April 2013. That's part of the reason tuf was set up with sonnen. Hendo and machida will fight long before then.

As much as I love Hendo, he has only fought 1 fight at LHW after coming back from Strikeforce.......even though it was a win over Shogun, I don't necessarily think that he should get a title shot because of that.

Machida has the 1 win over Bader since losing to Jones........should that put him in line for a shot?

It's true that there is some shuffling going on, and perhaps others are more deserving of the shot before Sonnen, but Sonnen is certainly a worthy contender, and should give Jones his toughest fight yet.

The LHW division is a tad weak in competition, IMO. I have heard talk of Daniel Cormier moving down to LHW......I would love to see that, and would love to see him get a shot at Jones sooner than later.

Dana really needs to make Silva/Jones happen!

Here we go AGAIN! Sonnen talking his way to a Title shot (in a division He hasn't fougt in YEARS). Waste of a fight for Jones. I won't pay money for that fight. NEXT...

And another thing, Armen.......I think Sonnen fighting Jones is more credible than this ridiculous fight of Silva fighting Bonnar.

Yes, but the Silva vs. Bonner fight was a short notice fight to save the card.
Sonnen vs. Jones is a long thought out fight with plenty of time.

They could have just as easily had Silva fight Weidman for the title...... Too bad Silva is ducking Weidman, because Weidman would have jumped at the chance.

True.... but Silva/ Weidman would have put the title on the line, so I can appreciate not jumping into it. esp with Weidman who could give Silva a real run for the money....

Jones, after coming off a full camp and dominating everyone could have stepped up against Sonnen last minute... I think it should be Jones vs. G Texiera! Now that is a fight I want to see!!!

Teixeira will be a force to reckon with, and I guarantee he will get a title shot sooner than later. I don't know if it's official yet, but it looks like his next fight will be against Rampage, who I am sorry to say, will get destroyed by Glover.

But finally, my boy GSP will be back in action again! I am just nervous about the ring rust. I think Condit will be quite the challenge, but GSP should pull it off.

I think you are all wrong. Silva is NOT ducking Weidman. Why would he? He's beaten MUCH BETTER fighters than him. And A. Silva's stand up is FAR FAR SUPERIOR than Weidman's. Ground game, A. Silva can hold his own against pretty much anyone There is a reason A. Silva is the best fighter in the history of the sport. Don't under estimate him. Weidman is NOT the guy.

Im afraid of GSP's ring rust also!!!!! He's got a tough fight ahead of him. Both fighters are great and i'm a big fan of both.

I don't think Silva is ducking Weidman at all. I just think it was smart not to fight him last minute. I don't think Weidman can beat Silva, but I do think he could give him a good fight.(I don't think anyone in the division cam beat Silva)

From what I have seen of Weidman, he is very dangerous, and Silva knows it. I am not saying that Weidman would necessarily beat him, but it would sure make for an interesting fight. Who else is there? Belcher maybe? Boetsch? Bisping? (a lot of B's there!) Personally, of those mentioned, I would be most interested in seeing Weidman, as I think he would have the best chance of them all. Who do you guys think should get the next shot at Silva for the belt?

With respects to a fight taking place last minute, they both would have the same disadvantages of a last minute fight.

Anyone here think Condit will beat GSP?

I agree the Weidman is tough.

I don't know who could fight Silva now. Seems like a lot of tough guys, but no one who can really contend.

Condit is a stud, but I have to have faith in GSP.
