All important considerations, in your type of program. ...and hopefully, all about the same size. That looks great, Jim!!!!
Higher Displacement, re engineered internals and valve train that rev higher, make more low rev torque, more HP, totally revised engine management, much more fuel efficient. Our goals are modest. We hope to run 15 seconds a lap faster than we did in our last 24 and 30 seconds a lap faster than we did in 2011. We also hope to run our KERS at 2X the output we did in our last 24 and make it easier to control for the drivers at the most efficient places on the track. Our new KERS management program is IMHO the most sophisticated KERS race program ever developed specifically for the Ring based on massive telemetry we've collected over 2 years.
I'll bet that is a kick in the pants, when the KERS boosts in...... Interesting to experience behind the wheel, I'd imagine.
S-w-e-e-t! More power (& torque!) is *always* good!...... "If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the entry of the next, then you have enough HP" - Mark Donohue. "Horsepower sells engines, torque wins motor races" - Unattributed, but may be me...... Cheers, Ian
+1 Seems I'm on a quoting binge; "I think so KERS is simple. You push a button, you go faster." Kimi of course. Cheers, Ian
If those are your requirements, you should think about Alessandro Balzan, he's one of the best GT italian driver.
The block is well made as are the heads. If we get our LMP 1 or DP program going we won't be using Ferrari Engines or any Ferrari components for that matter.
Would shared Pininfarina bodywork components from P4/5 and P4/5C(M) be used in an LMP1 or DP car or would those creations be completely new builds that manufacture newly designed bodywork to revolve around the P4/5 theme? All the best, Andrew.
Nice feature Jimmy. I was cracking up at the picture of the long hair. How many years were you growing it? And land sakes it was curly. The things we do I our youth eh. Had me a long set locks when I was in my late teens.
Brilliant news re the engine there Jim. That block has a good amount of room inside to add more stroke and the heads flow well for it.
