It doesn't bother me at all. Most of the time I find the presenter's choice of music either distracting or annoying.

    Thanks for posting it Daryl.

$485 is quite expensive. You can get better for less.

    Well, interesting video...

But, I can't resist to give you some dates :

Geneva show 1967 => March => presentation of MARZAL
May 1967 => building of the Espada prototipo with the gullwing, not kept for some reasons to be reveal in my book...
Earls Court 1967 => October => presentation of PIRANA
Geneva show 1968 => March => presentation ESPADA & ISLERO

so, MARZAL & ESPADA were the inspiration for PIRANA... not the opposite

    ciao,

Okay Olivier. What I meant, and should have written, is that the first PRODUCTION Espada was conceptually closer to the Pirana than it was to the Marzal. That first Espada prototype was just grotesque. They cleaned it up to make the Pirana, which still had some proportion issues. Then the "refined" Pirana became the Espada SI.

They don't exactly grow on trees, bank accounts would be more apt. ;) Just ask The Doc, his license plate is Lira Pit LOL.

Gird yourself and it's a really good thing if you can do a lot of your own work. There is a lot of car in this model which means there's that much more to work on. Keep looking everywhere you can think of and be patient or you can use a broker as already suggested. You might want to take a trip over to the VLG site on Yahoo as well. There are a ton of vintage Lamborghini people from all over the world on there.

Another tool I found somewhat helpful was the The Lamborghini registry. It's a "pay for" website now. So subscribe for a year and see what you think. I did find a bit of information on there even if the actually registry portion for the Espada was very sparse a few years a go when I looked at it.

Thank you for your input. I think all classic Lambos are money pit and hoping you can get it back when you sell them 10-15 years down the line. Muira and Coutach are two good examples. I would think the Espadas would be easier to work on comparing to Countach/Muira because the engine location. Do you still need to pull the engine to replace the clutch?

I like Espada because you can take a family of 4 in one car to all the car activities such car shows, TSD, cars and coffee, short tours, etc. My first choice would be finding and buying one from a private long-time owner if I can.

Does anyone know 1971 Espada #8236, ex-John Hall (Orlando FL) car, white/red? Please advise.

I purchased this Espada on Ebay several weeks ago. I have been looking for some time and to say the least was very pleasantly surprised when I flew up to Cleveland and and the Dealer MB Vintage Cars opened his garage door and showed me this pristine, unrestored, virtually unmolested 32741 mile Luci di Bosco Series II. I am in the car restoration business, www.vintageconnection.com, and we are used to the problems and expense involved in working on "Restored" 4 cammers that customers have purchased without having a PPI done by a knowledgeable professional. The records and receipts I received with the car include a Bill of Sale from Wide World of Cars in New Jersey dated Nov 1986 indicating 30400 mile on the clock. The interior is like new with little wear and soft leather and the paint original with few cosmetic issues. Original tools Jack and knockoff wrench included along with original owners manual and many period brochures. Dealer had spent $5000 to have the brakes and servos rebuilt. I have tried to go further back into the history of this car, but can find no reference to it in the Registry. Can anyone supply some additional history for this Espada??
    Thanks,
    John

Looks like what will become a very nice car after you go through it. It reminds me a bit of the one I bought. Mines a bit earlier. Your toolkit is a lot better than mine. My resonators were rotted out.
