Nah! It's all good! Tongue firmly in cheek here (I hope ) While the Viz does sometimes lead me to Google he is the unquestioned king of the one-liner. Long may it continue...... Indeed. I wasn't a particular fan prior to him turning red but do believe he's the best out there and has matured a lot as well. Let bygones be bygones. Cheers, Ian
"England and America: Two nations, divided by a common language" -- George Bernard Shaw. "We have really everything in common with America nowadays, except, of course, language." -- Oscar Wilde "English is the result of Norman men-at-arms attempting to pick up Saxon barmaids and is no more legitimate than any of the other results." -- H. Beam Piper
I´m obviously no expert but i belive the main diference is actualy the accent...and the fact that many americans don´t seem to know when to use "were" instead of "was".....but brazilians totally "screw" our words!!! And many time, the exact same word as got very diferent meanings, some times they mean the exact oposite!!!
Indeed. Of note (while we're meandering down this path) is that the UK has as broad a range of accents as the entire US; Which for a nation that basically fits inside CA is remarkable; London, Birmingham, Manchester, the West country are all significantly different - Certainly as much as CA -v- Boston -v- New York for example. And let's not even get started on the Scots! "They can't understand themselves!" Ouch! That could be "dangerous"..... Don't think we have that "issue" at least. Cheers, Ian
Are you guys sure you are on the right thread!!??? Everyone is all about "love and frinsdhip....and even some porn" today!!! Well, i guess felipe signing the deal means nobody else will bash him!!!
Just to give you a couple of examples: A good friend of mine is called "Pinto".....and he got a lot of funny looks in Brazil whenever he said his name....he later found out "pinto" means "cock" overthere!! In Portugal, "puto" simply means small kid but in Brazil it means "male prostitute"....on the other hand "puta" means "whore" in both places. For example if you wan´t to sai "queue", you can sai "fila" or "bicha".....but in Brazil, "fila" it´s the only option, because "bicha" means "***"!!! So you see it´s a very tricky country!!!!
Basically I think it all means Massa sucks better than any other driver in F1! ( [Frankie Howard] "Ooh no!, no!, stop it now!, stop it!........ titter ye not!" [/Frankie Howard] ) Or is Massa merely a mass figment of the imaginations of imaginary beings on the internet who do not really exist?
Hmm... the stats paint a different picture Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Interesting. It confirms what I've been saying since 2009: Replace him It was very noble (and in F1 unheard of) that Ferrari brought him back from 2010. But for the life of me I don't understand what they've been doing since then: 2011, 2012 and now 2013? From what I'm hearing this is not so much about Massa but rather that LdM doesn't want to jeopardize his relationship with the FIA: Massa's manager is Todt's son So Massa is solid at Ferrari until his teeth fall out.
Tin foil hat handy? Dunno where you're hearing that (Benoit?) but it's maybe the biggest pile of horse**** I've read here in a while. There's no way Nicolas' relationship with Phil is gonna influence either LdM or JT, let alone the entire FIA! Your implication seems to be that should he not have been renewed Nick would go whining to his Dad, who would then "punish" Ferrari in some fashion. Can't happen. Sorry. Cheers, Ian
He's certainly keeping a low profile - Not a bad idea after the last lunatic who ran the asylum IMO. But, kissing Bernie's ass? Not sure about that - I think they have a healthy respect for each other and each needs the other. It'll be interesting to see where his (JT's) "entry fees based on results" initiative winds up - Thus far at least the Pygmy has kept quiet on that one.... Cheers, Ian
Really? Like the head of the FIA would never go out of his way to punish a team or influence the outcome of the WDC? Just because Todt Sr. hasn't done it (yet), doesn't mean he couldn't follow his predecessors who have a long history of that (Balestre vs Senna/McLaren, Mosley vs McLaren to name a couple examples). Lets not forget that LdM kicked Jean Todt out of Maranello. That was before Todt became head of the FIA. He probably realized later on what dangerous position he had put himself and the team into.
Sure, it's happened before - The guys responsible were both certifiable lunatics. JT just isn't wired that way IMO. He had a great run at Maranello and moved on. Maybe he was pushed out, maybe he wanted to go but I believe the guy's smart enough to not get in a pissing contest with Ferrari. Neither is LdM "scared" of him. Cheers, Ian
Speaking of the devil: http://www.motorsport-aktuell.com/automobil/mosley-fordert-todt-muss-konsequenter-durchgreifen-5947672.html Just today Mad Max criticized Todt for being too soft towards the teams.
Massa's core problem is positive motivation. It amazing how fast he gets the closer the contract deadline gets. I say race to race contract. Hows that for motivation ?
+1 He'll get all discombobulated when he reads the above! Steve - "Breath in, breath out, move on....." Cheers, Ian
