Your doing a fantastic job on this car. I wish I had your skills and tallents. I would love to do this to my car.
Refreshing to see many 308s going through the 6 figure restoration process, as opposed to just the fleabay process. Aguri !
What six figures, I was hoping Rock was able to do the nut and bolt restoration and throw in the cost of the 308GTB for five figures including life time free oil changes for me....am I missing something here? Btw thanks for keeping us posted with the process and congrats on the great workmanship. Rocco
I was looking at the old photos when I came across this one, it looks like it was at the factory. Rust free is an understatement Image Unavailable, Please Login
the next item on the agenda is the wiring harness, it was removed before painting and now its time to inspect all the wires and replace all the electrical terminals. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any updates on this car ? As for the wiring, harness and terminals....was the fuse box original ? Are you replacing it ? What are you finding on the wiring after 30yrs we as owners should look for ?
Hi Rock, I'd love to know what you are doing about the wiring as I am at the same point in my restoration. By the way, the paint looks fantastic! Thanks, George
As well Rock, does this Dry Sump come with all the tools, books and original warranty card/book? Can't wait to see it in person, keep up the great work.
George sorry for for the late response, we rebuild and fabricate our own wiring harness ( not a commercial post) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree but let's get real. It's always easy to "spend" other people's money. When you're the one writing the checks, not so easy. But I'm not talking about you and Newman and all you other Canadian big spenders. The 308 is evolving from the cheap Ferrari owners' car to the big boy spender's car. Same thing happened with the Dino. -F
watch out for the 35 -45 year old car guys. When they make, inherit or steal money the 308, 328 tr bb etc, will be unobtainable okay maybe even the gt4
I see it another way. It's not big CDN spenders When Dino's are fetching 400k for 190hp ....why is a rare glass car not worth 200 after a restore ? We are still talking about other people's money aren't we ? There are a bunch of mass produced Porsche fetching top dollars. Why shouldn't a 308gtb glass, or steel cars fetch strong money ? The 308 glass / steel and 328b euro have had there day of being the bottom car, along with the gt/4 - these cars are below undervalued, to the point where it's criminal that they are as cheap as they are
