Now that Austin is on the official FIA calendar, will the race really happen?

  1. Yes, it will happen.

  2. No, no way for construction to finish.

Assuming they're really sold out, that would still leave turns 1, 14, 20 and the grandstands. But they're not offered on the www.formula1.com website.

And the prices for 15 are way lower than what www.formula1.com has.

    Strange.

And on COTA's website you have to enter a bunch of personal info before they even show you what the seats cost. :(

Not sure; but the tickets have been in mega-demand since they were released. Whether people believe that or not, it sure appears like the demand is there...

That's one way to "sell out" the stands.

Yes, it will be interesting to look at the stands on raceday to see if it really is a sellout or it looks more like Yeongam.

If they need seat fillers I'll take two.
Provided they throw in transport and lodging.

A strong turnout could mean a lot for F1 in the USA. Good for NJ and good for NBC.

I didn't think I was going to be able to go, but my flight is booked and I've bought tickets, so I know my ass will be in a seat. :)

The Ferrari Paddock is a bit cheaper at 3250... I may go that route

    ???

    Can you please elaborate?

I never heard that one can buy such a thing. I always thought it was Paddock or nothing.

    Tks.

    What's the difference?

Sounds to me like once you're past Bernie's gates of hell, all is fine.

I had once "Williams" paddock passes, but they pretty much gave me free reign in the paddock (that is until they kicked me out of the Jaguar tent :)).

    Tks.

Except that for Austin they're 5,500 Euros, about 6.5k US.

Alligator leather? Should have been Longhorn leather in keeping with the Austin theme.

I got an invite from my dealer to purchase some sort of VIP Ferrari Paddock for 3250. It can't possibly be the same but it's some sort of Paddock, I get car access, parking, meals, drinks etc...
