it's the same kit as the 328 & Testarossa, correct? Does this kit belong with a specific 288 or is this an extra kit?

Not the same, it is in a leather, not plastic, pouch that is embossed with logo's.

    Shawn,
I forgot to mention this to 512Blu on saturday but will mention it when we talk later this week. I am not sure if he will be interested but I believe he knows the owner of the 288GTO that resides in the Houston area and he may be interested. I personaly would love to own it but I truelly think it should go to a serious collector or 288GTO owner.

Heck if I bought it and then stumbled across an owner looking for one I would probably just give it to them but that is just me.

I agree with that statement: It should go to an actual owner of a 288, especially one who has lost his toolkit.

However, just out of curiosity, I would love to see what a 288 toolkit looks like, and how it differs from the 308/328 versions!

I believe Mr.Sackey could assist the seller in making sure this goes to a good home?

I could, but interestingly, I have never sold a 288 GTO (yet) that did not have its original tool kit, so they seem to have done remarkably well as far as keeping their original ancillaries.

If I know of anyone looking for one Id be happy to simply connect the parties, as I often do.

    Wow! Thanks, Joe!

Doesn't look like the tool roll is much different than the 328. . . although the full "kit & kaboodle" holds a few different things - like the hammer! :)

I am still confused about the "leather with logos" comment, though. Was the tool roll in the GTO leather?

Yes the one I show has everything, down to ancillary plug-in map light.

I have seen both leather & vinyl as original tool rolls supplied with the car.
