    Hi everyone,

As the car show season comes to an end, I've been thinking about organizing a group of sports cars to possibly meet once a month in the Paramus area. If there's one thing Bergen County lacks, it's regularly scheduled car meets. Hopefully, I can change that.

What I'm planning is similar to Cars & Croissants. I was thinking of meeting once a month on a Sunday morning (I'll schedule mine around Chatham C&C, as I have no interest in competing in the great work the Chatham group does), and seeing how the turnout is.

If anyone is interested, please PM me or leave your e-mail address. Obviously, I'd love as many Ferrari's as possible, but bring whatever sports/muscle car you own. Once I get a decent number of cars, I'll confirm a location and date for the first meet.

Thanks for reading and hopefully I'll see you and your car soon!

I get to about 3 or 4 Chatham C&Cs a year, but would get out more for something closer. Saturdays in Paramus would be a real challenge given shopping congestion, but Sundays should be perfect as the malls are basically closed.

Ya Paramus on a Saturday is horrible as the blue laws keep things closed on Sundays. Sunday would be nice as the traffic is way different.

Might work. Relative to Chatham C&C, a venue in Paramus or Mahwah etc might draw some guys out from Rockland or Orange Ctys. Also think that once a month would be perfect. IMO, the Chatham C&C is a bit too frequent; it becomes almost dilutive.

The venue is key. Chatham C&C is perfect example. Since having to switch venues at the start of this C&C season, the turnout has been better at the Hilton in Parsippany than it has at Chatham HS. The former has bathrooms, coffee shop and restaurant, while the latter has nothing (other than a big parking lot). This is not a criticism of Aby and Kirk who organize the Chatham C&C, just an observation.

I'm glad to see that you also mentioned muscle cars. I enjoy all cars, not just sports/exotic cars and I'd like to see a C&C where everyone is welcome and you never know what will show up. When I lived outside of Charlotte, I used to attend a C&C and there would be Lambos and Ferraris etc next to street rods next to muscle cars next to 1930s antiques on a regular basis. It was a great mix. At the Chatham C&C, I enjoy it the most when a 30's era MG racecar, a Messerschmitt, a Stratos, Enzo, 63 split window Vette, Ghibli, 911 racecar etc etc show up. It's the eclectic mix that I get into. Don't know how others feel but it'd be great to have the exotic and sports car guys involved, along with microcars, antiques, muscle cars etc etc. Just my opinion obviously.

Was supposed to drive these on Thursday but it was too foggy for them to open up Monticello Motor Club :(

They are inviting us all back in the spring when the weather is better.

But yeah it would be nice to have something closer, Paramus is only a 15 minute drive on Sunday usually.

I had a reservation for that same event but cancelled due to work commitments. In September I did a half day 1 on 1 "speed date" that was set up through my dealer. Lots of fun running cones, start stop and about 30 minutes of lead-follow on the back half of the track, plus a hot lap in the coupe with a grand-am driver.

    Hey guys,

I'm going ahead with setting up a time and place for a first meet. Response has been very good. Once everyone gets power back (I don't have it yet), I'll start looking to confirm a location.

If you'd like to join my e-mail list for the meets, leave an e-mail here or PM it to me.

Thanks for your interest and hope to see you soon!
