lol! and Mario is worth than you! he bought a burnt one!! his 8th or so CT, I beleive! I think there is also the dying dog rescue syndrom going on...
if anyone thinks countach are expensive in the US, look at the euro prices!!! Holy mackerell! Who said that carb car in the Us would plumet when 5000 and QV would reach the 25 years and be imported like rats on ships? http://www.classicdriver.com/uk/find/4100_results.asp?sorderby=tblManufacturers%2EsName+ASC%2C+tblModels%2EsModel+ASC%2C+bOfficial+DESC%2C+tblCars%2EsType+ASC&action=simple%5Fsearch&coopid=0&lmanufacturer=10066&lcurrency=6&next=4100%5Fresults%2Easp&dealerid=0&bsubmit=true&bclicked=false&bshowstock=Wahr&whatbutton.x=0&page=0&lmodelflag=10331
I can see at least 3 cars that have been for sale on Classic Driver for literally YEARS with no takers. Remember, asking prices are not true values, except in instances when they result in a sale.
Looks like a car they had a few years back. Note the two LEDs on the dash. Not sure what the price is. No affiliation. http://www.lamborghinicarolinas.com/web/used/Lamborghini-Countach-1988-Greensboro-North-Carolina/4837925/ Larry
A gripe I have with any car for sale: internet price I bought a few vehicles in my time. When an ad says internet price or special internet price....that was the thing maybe 10+ yrs ago. Even when I bought my Dodge diesel, "oh sir, that's special internet pricing" There is no such thing as interenet pricing! It's all internet pricing! I said to the guy "what? That truck is the same price on your lot, on your website, and autotrader. Everything is internet pricing now". Got quiet rather quickly. Now back to our regular Countach programming............
Oh my god! That device, that's the rare jigawatt adjuster for the flux capacitors. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I believe those are K40 alert LEDs instead of the full read display. The other devise might be for a CD changer???
http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchDetails.aspx?itemid=1461784 Its back with almost a $100k price reduction.
just came home from Padova fair, the biggest Classic car fair in Europe: i saw four Countach for sale there. Here you are the asking prices, EURO, not US dollars: White LP5000S (below average condition) 155K Euro Black QVFI 175 k Euro (quite good but FI!!!!) Red LP400S3 185 K Euro (restored but with some restore errors) White QVDD 195 k Euro (good car) prices are moving up ciao
anyone have true number of 1987 lp5000qv FI type produced? and, how many were sent to U.S. shores? and, going on 26 years, after accidents, junking and trashing, what is the true U.S. numbers original survived?
Allen, I'd say about a third of the 610 QVs built were USA FI cars - I don't think anyone kept specific records, Joe Nastasi is a good friend of mine, and I KNOW he did not. From that one-third (say 200 cars), I bet 95% survive, but I also bet only 70% remain in the country. Hope that helps!
too hi asking prices imo these cars do not sell at those prices a perfect restored carbed countach (like alberto's 5000) shold be worth over 160k, but not a nice fi or an average carbed car imo the red s3 has many uncorrect items for example qv wing and skirts...the interior needs worcks to. and who knows about mecanical conditions.... i bet it needs 40k euro at least to be brought to all original and in good running conditions.
one thing is sure though: the time of 100.000 euros countach is gone. even if i do not see padova asking as reasonable, i do think prices are on the rise and cars available for sale are hardly the best ones
I believe Tecno Classica Essen in Germany is much better in overall quality... About the prices, these Lambo were offered by the same garage... not realistic of a market !!! He is a dreamer for me considering the real transaction amounts of some cars this year & last year.
I did not know of Essen, thank you, maybe i will do a trip next year! Coming to Ct prices, the same seller of the three Countach has a red Diablo Roadster (you can see it aside the white CT) and the asking price is 100 K euro: good price, the car is not bad. Aside the Diablo, there is a mint red Porsche 911 3.2 speedster, sold, asking price 85 k euro and sold for 82,5 k euro, same seller of the three CT. An average market price. They know CT prices are going up, so they keep the prices high. Blue EB110 asking prices 300 Keuro, same seller. ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
this is a good moment to buy a diablo in Italy! you can get a nice roadster for 95k euro or an SV at 100-105k a bit more and you can get a nice SE30
Yes i know, Diablo market is not going very well. I just told of the Roadster as it has a market price and it's nice, the same for the 911 3.2 speedster, so the CT prices they ask are too high but not so much as somebody could think. ciao
It seems the median asking price for Contach Anniversarios is increasing a little. http://www.jakesmotorcars.com/web/used/Lamborghini-Countach-1989-San-Diego-CA/4887103/ Although asking and getting are two seperate things. Interesting front bumper (half of a pre-Anniversario Eu bumper). Image Unavailable, Please Login
This has been dormant for a while. Lets bring it back It has been a few months any new sales anyone wants to comment on? Have values gone up even more? Less?
