Ive been driving my car so I have a few nicks, chips and scrapes on the bumper. A re-spray will be in order soon. Any recommendations?

I will also want to apply a clear bra after a few weeks so I need someone for that too.

I am in the northern burbs (southern Lake County) and would prefer something close by if possible.

OK, that's 2 for Custom Cars so far. I checked out their website and it looks like they do impressive work.

Does any one have a recommendation for anyone up north?

The Last Detail in Lake Bluff (137 & 41) does very good work. They did the body and paint work on a '69 Z/28 for me, touched up a scrape on my 348 and wet sanded the paint on a '67 Impala for me. Excelent work.

Custom Cars does good work, but if you are planning on having only the bumper resprayed, don't expect a 100% paint match. It will be close, but to the critical eye, there is usually a slight difference anytime a panel is repainted. To get a seamless look, they'll have to blend the paint into the hood and fenders. Sometimes it's possible to get a good match without blending on flat colors as opposed to metallics.
