I need help importing a 308 GTS into Denmark from Canada. Has anyone here ever done this? Who did you use to ship the car? Is it easier and cheaper to ship the car into Holland first? Any idea what the cost would be? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    First, what are your plans.

Selling the car to a person in Denmark or are you going to live in Denmark yourself. That is important for importing the car.
To transport the car to Europe contact www.car-logistics.com they will arrange everything for you, door to door service.

I think luxembourg is cheaper, but don't ask how that goes. To import to Belgium it's 17 + 6 % on the value of the car.

Actually there shouldn't be any import costs.
Because the car (Ferrari) is originally made in Europe, the car just comes back to Europe.
Normally to value the import costs you have to check where the product is made (Italy) and where is goes to (Denmark). Both Europe so no import costs.
Maybe somebody can confirm this or not? But I got this info when I tried to buy a BMW from the US.

Not correct. My 308 came from Switzerland (outside EU) and had to be imported with import tax. Once it's inside the EU you can then freely sell it to other EU countries without import duties.

Yes indeed and that's the theory. all Ferrari's are officially sold from Italy (inside EU). It depends of the COC (Certificate of Comformity), if it is European (EU, not from CH and not from Sweden). Indeed in Europe, Switzerland and also Sweden are the exeptions.
But I don't know what happens with these original COC's once the car is imported outside the EU. Is the original COC still with the car ? Or only the Canadian ? Maybe you can get the original European COC from the dealer?
Of course, I have never done it but maybe you can check it or search for more info about it.
