I've been casual browsing for F430 spiders all summer long, hoping to find a winter deal. I keep on coming back to this one from CNC. I read nothing but good comments about CNC. Is it the black interior that is throwing people off? I don't love it, but I don't mind it either. Has lots of options, ceramic brakes, tubi exhaust. It's been listsed for awhile, figured it would sale by now. Am I missing something?

Don't buy it if you don't love the whole car, interior and all. I personally don't like the interior but that's just me. Price seems about right for a starting figure.

    +1 Don't settle.

I personally find the interior too red with the carpet and inserts.

if you refer to the stats of the actual market i made this week

    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=388137

you will find that this car is at the average miles and price for a 2006.
Being sold by a dealer the price is not that bad and there is some room for negociation
    maybe around 5%

I've seen that car in person. I think it looks great. I like the color and the seats and all the options. If I ordered the car new, I probably would have ordered it with black carpet instead of red. But certainly not a deal breaker for me anyway. If I was ready to move up to a 430, that car would be in my garage now. Good luck. Randy.

That is a cool interior but I doubt the best for resale. I like that interior better in a coupe.

Ya I'm just not totatlly sold on the red carpet but for the price of the car, could get it cheaper and buy a black carpet instead. 1K for new carpet by the looks of ricambiamerica.

    List of what I want.

    Spider
    Rosso exterior
    sheilds
    Beige or Black interior
    Red stitching
    Daytona seats
    Yellow tach
CF driving zone (still not sure what's included in a driving zone)

Upgraded exhaust or CCB would be a bonus, but not a need.

I would end up buying the Fabspeed performance upgrade. So far it looks to be the best package.

My old car should be popping up somewhere soon.

2007 spyder, rosso corsa, nero interior with red stitching. All carbon fiber options.
17,1XX miles last time I saw her.

    I was the second owner.

I expect pricing in the 130k range unless the seller tries to stick it to someone.

I don't think it's the interior that is throwing people off, I think it's the exterior color. It's Rosso Scuderia, not Rosso Corsa. The orange tint in Rosso Scuderia is a big turn off for many potential buyers, IMO. I believe that Rosso Scuderia only looks good on the Challenge Stradale.
    Just my $0.02.

I test drove this car before I got mine (I am 15 min. from CNC).
First off, CNC is a top notch dealership. The guys are all friendly and great to work with.

I personally love love this car. Keep in mind that it is Rossa Scuderia color, which some traditionally people don't like. I personally love the color. The Tubi exhaust is intoxicating! The car drove like a charm.
I went with a black 430 Spider, but if I had to do it again, this would be my car!

Oh I didnt realize that. My car is Rosso Corsa. However, I love Rosso Scuderia. I think the red carpets are keeping the car from selling.

Ill keep on looking, thanks guys. Back to the drawing board. Send any links my way if car pops up.

I actually like this one. The airdam on the front bumper, I think it's called the splitter. Looks to be CF, is that aftermarket or Ferrari option? I emailed the dealer asking for the spec sheet. Price is in the average range.

    Good
    Colors are good
    Red stiching
    power seats
    low miles

    Con (but not deal breakers)
Little aluminum piece cover for the reserve.
    Door sills are aluminum.

Maybe you should do your research before you make a comment like that.

The car has over 18,000 miles and is my old car. It was recently for sale in St Louis with 17,000 miles listed at 142k and STILL couldn't sell. I can assure you that the dealer lost their azz when they auctioned it or sold it to FofW, meaning that FofW likely is in the car for sub 140k.

I also suspect that based on my last clutch snap when I had the car, it is probably in need of a clutch..... so take off 5k.

I do think the car is still pretty cherry, but 18k miles scares a lot of people away.

I agree with you that the miles is what keeps buyers away. I remember very well when you traded this car at Exotics Motors of MidWest for your Scud, (at the time I was researching spiders to purchase for me). This one and another one ('06) at Continental in Chicago where the higher mileage Spiders for sale in the country at the time with the '06 selling at 130K, late this summer. I would not touch them !!!
CarFax is so unreliable that now fails to show the stop in St. Louis (EMM) and keeps the same 2 owners like nothing ever happened. Dealer swaps at its best !!!.
That's why Paper history of a car is paramount.

Yah. I was glad to see in the pics at FofW they still have my booklet of history on the car. Drop a new clutch in that baby and I am sure she will be good for another 20k miles.
