Well, according to The Daily Mail prison in UK is basically a free holiday, paid for by the hardworking taxpayer.

So on that basis fchat could well be accessible inside. would be interesting to do an IP lookup.

18 months is probably about the time it would take to go through due process and get a conviction.

 

The police are trying to prosecute Verdi with theft but so far they only have one prosecutable case because people waited years before reporting the theft.
Bottom line if you did not sign a purchase invoice and you have your original sales invoice you still own the car. Even if Verdi forged your V5C document that is just the registered keeper and not the owner.
Is it time to get together and set up an action group. Hire a **** hot laywer to force the police to take action. Split the cost between all those ripped off, there are enough that the costs would be negligible.
Everyone is fighting there own battle against this guy instead of coming together and pulling resources.

It would be interesting to know whether he gets any serious prospects with 73,000 hits on this thread alone, plus threads on other well frequented sites such as Piston Heads.

Selling customers cars and not paying their money is not the only thing Karl at Verdi Ferrari has done. I personally know people who have left theirs cars with him to be repaired and he's stolen parts from their cars. Some lads from Manchester had to threaten to kill him to get compensation for what he did to their car. People have taken him to court over large amounts of money, but God knows what the total amount is that he's ripped off people if you add up all the parts he's had. How this guy is still alive, I do not know. Another one of his tricks is to order parts and claim they've never come or he's sent them to you. Last time I went there, he tried so hard to get me to come up to his office, but I wouldn't let my car out of my sight.

Your car is your baby, it's your pride and joy and leaving your car with Verdi is like leaving your child in the care of a paedophile baby sitter. Please warn all your friends and any body you know not to take their cars to Verdi.

A companies house search shows there was a Verdi Ferrari (Coachworks) Ltd, Verdi Ferrari (Sales) Ltd and Verdi Ferrari Ltd, all now dissolved. Verdi Ferrari (aftersales) is now in liquidation. I'm sure he will try to reopen by setting up another company with a similar name. We must all make sure that everyone knows what Karl is like and he never gets to open up another a garage again to make peoples lives a misery by robbing and cheating them and destroying their cars.

You have been warned. KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THIS THIEF. The only time you should let him any where near your car is if you run him over while he's crossing the road.

 

I have read through the thread regarding Karl Verdi and have huge concerns we are potentially in the situation many of you have described.

Forum members may remember I am Karl Birdi's trustee in bankruptcy. My investigations are continuing.

There is a High Court judgment for £150,000-odd against Karl in the name of someone called Somchul Rashid. Mr Rashid has not come forward as a creditor in the bankruptcy yet and I cannot find him on the electoral register. Does anybody have any information about him, please? I would love to have a chat.

Just saying.

 

But interesting that most people saying Verdi is great and saying Verdi is a fraud all have < 10 posts to their names. I guess that is the modern world. The fact remains though the courts would not take action without real proof. Buyer beware.............
