A Miami-Dade Circuit Court judge approved a class-action lawsuit over Porsche's lense engineering.

Thieves are targeting assemblies from Porsche Cayenne and Panamera models for cultivating marijuana, prying the cartridges from the vehicle.

Porsche's xenon lamps supply an optimum balance of heat and rays plus energy-efficiency.

Amazing. Never thought I'd see the day where the Cayenne and Panamera actually had reason to exist...

I was wondering why Carbon suddenly expressed interest in my car....

LMFAO! Not sure which is funnier, the judge's ruling or the situation itself.

It all makes perfect sense. That's why they made the Cayenne so capacious and fast. You grow the pot under the headlights, stuff it in the back, and then haul ass to deliver your sweet, sweet ganja. It all makes PERFECT sense!

Yet another great reason for people to excell at nothing. Make something that works really well that someone completely unconnected to you finds an alternate though nefarious use for, get slapped with a lawsuit. Brilliant. Unless porsche is somehow marketing the cayenne and panamera as possessed of great weed growing capability, I fail to see how this is their fault. Should Cadillac have been sued when jerks were stealing the hood ornaments for use as jewelry?

You, of course mean LENS, since lense is not a word...

Who's being sued? I don't follow... surely not Porsche? Who then?

Tcar, this is not how carburetor is spelled. At least lense deserves the benefit of the doubt with respect to syllable count. If FerrariChat includes spell-check with Rossa & Silver, will you subscribe?

Abbreviated discovery sans premium access reveals no more than the judge's name who granted complainants class certification, hardly relevant chatter.

Parts susceptibility to theft manufacturer negligence? Skeptical. The judicial mechanism besieging Porsche to defend is automated, initially sustaining baselessness. In the manner unintended throttle tangled Toyota. Rapid whatever would be case. Tell me about it.

Ha... you have waaaaaaaaaaaaay (sp) too much time on your hands... how long did it take to find that?

So the suit is against Porsche???? Amazing.

yes, the lawsuit is owners of Porsches (plaintiffs) vs. Porsche (defendant) over faulty headlight design...not because they fail or aren't bright enough or some other fundamental design flaw, but because thieves are targeting them.

    silly, I know.

I'd think in A-dam they wouldn't be concerned about heat as much.. at least in the sense of evading detection.

I'd think [speculate] it'd take more lights than your HPS/MH to have a proper yield & negate some benefit. Maybe the longevity of bulbs & potentially still using less heat are a trade-off, especially if they are free....certainly don't appear cheaper

are the lights unique to Porsche and they are an exclusive purchaser ? it would seem that anyone making them would be offering them to other manufacturers to max out their production / revenue and other makes would be using them as well... strange that a court could intervene in an otherwise benign use of a mairanufactured part / technology

airbags and catalytic converters come to mind as auto parts that became a high value targets of theives, with no sanctions against their manufacture and use... applying similar logic would mean the courts are being selective in what can be prosecuted, which is not allowed by the legal system

Who even comes up with the idea to try this? Hmmm, my weed isn't growing as well as it should. I know, I'll try the lights from my Cayenne. The headlights from my SL or 430 just haven't been getting the job done.
