Thinking of adding vinyl stripes to my 12 nero daytona coupe and wondered if anyone has pictures of a 458 coupe or spider with stripes? I'm thinking the 16M type might look nice on the coupe. Maybe silver with red? Thoughts?

The nice thing is they are removable. I thought stripes on my Black/White color scheme might look good when photo shoping but realized in person they looked "tacked on". You may have a better eye than I do, but for the money it seems to me worth it to try and see. Best

I wish I was able to do that but I'm not competent with photoshop. I was thinking of a 16M type stripe with solid silver in the middle and red mettalic on the sides. Could that be done on photoshop? I found this pic of a 16M with silver stripe. I think the front of my 458 might look great with a 16M type stripe in silver and red.

Skip the stripes IMO. Takes away from the core lines of the car. Kinda of like putting a bumper sticker on a Bentley.....

I recently saw delivery of a triple yellow spider with a black stripe similar to what you are describing....I believe it was a $20K paint job (maybe more) and almost as much for the stripe from the factory.....no offense to the owner if he's on here but I did not like it.....the Scud stripes are another story....I think they will look great, on a Scud though, not the "regular" coupe or spider.....IMO skip the stripes....

16m Stripe would be nice but I would do the Scud strip in a matte black color.
I have a black 360 and it looks amazing with matte.....

I have unfortunately lost almost all of my photoshop skill, but here's what I could do. The image of the Scud was very low quality, thus the low quality stripe and I couldn't get the red to work.

    I hope this works.

Your skills are fine to prove a point I tried to make earlier. The stripes look like an "add on" and do not "fit". I tried to curve lines along the outer rim of the front bonnet, straight down the middle as in a Scuderia, as well as thicker or thinner lines outlined with a contrasting color. No matter what you do, it looks like an "after thought" imho. The lines of the 458 do not lend themselves to straight lines down the middle of the front. Best

    No worries.

Agreed, the lines are too sharp to have the stripe on it.

Excellent it looks really good? Anyone could photoshop this 458 and add the stripe in red on the roof?

OK, maybe I'm getting stodgy, but IMO these stripes do nothing for a 458 but bring it down...same for the random bi-color on a Spider. It may work well on an Italia, but that's because it actually follows a design element...hello! Here we are the owners of one of the most beautiful cars on the planet, and we're putting plastic stickers on it! Really? Why don't we just pay homage to a 70's Trans Am and put a giant prancing horse on the hood. Stop the blinking nonsense!

I know it's just my opinion, but I'm happy to have it off my chest. Please resume.

Yes. Stripes are too boy racer for me. It's a beautiful car without.

I am just a geezer hopelessly out of step with bling and unnecessary ad-ons.

    Rant over.
