3D printing - recommendations?

    I'm working on a "project" at home where I have a one-off model, which is TM protected. I'd like to scale it up. So I'm looking for a place, which will physically scan the object and generate a 3D model, which then can be printed out in 3D in the scale I need.

    While I'm not so concerned about the 3D scanning place, I'm wondering whether a 3D printing place would refuse to work with me as this object is recognizable (think Mickey Mouse, although it isn't a Disney character) and they might be worried over TM infringement.

    Does anybody have experience with these things and can recommend a good place?

    if your not reselling the object i dont see why they would, but print shops are hard to deal with nowadays, i'm finding that out even just trying to get something i created (my own origginal artwork) in large size scanned and printed....first thing i get is a hassle about copyright! :rolleyes:

    Well, there you go. Hence my question.

    I'll see how it goes, but I figured I could take the 3D data with me on travel to Europe/Canada/Mexico/Asia and chances are I'll find a print shop willing to produce the object. Somewhere...

    Call Dick at CyberFX 818 246 2911 tell him Jerry from SOTA sent you. They can scan and output at any size.
