    How is this game different than Forza 4?

    I'm trying to decide if it's worth my $60...

    Haven't had much time to play it but was able to get in a few hours last night. I just got the pink wrist band but still have some lower events left to do. I haven't bought very many cars yet but still have quite a few due to either winning them or getting them via the LCE. Last night I finally made enough to buy a Zonda R and for the first time I really got a sense of speed driving it around in free roam. The game's sound is a bit on the dull side especially compared to the incredible job they did with the sound in Ferrari Legends. I like to crank it up and listen to the car but FH falls short in this aspect. I will say that driving around in free roam with a steering wheel is very immersive and lots of fun.

    I bought the Aventador J. :D

    Hit Gold wrist band, all barn finds and done all PR Stunts. Still quite a few races to go before it's all over.

    Yeah the Zonda R is by far the best sounding car in the game for me. I just use that most of the time.

    Much more like a game for kids than adults, if you like nfs, its perfect. Otherwise....ehh not so much.

    About half that pack pisses me off, they are literally selling cars that have already been modelled and we're definitely left out of the game simply to sell them. That's not cool. You want to sell new cars, fine, but wow selling cars that have been in Forza for years, that's too much.

    definitely glad i didn't buy the season pack. most of those cars were in forza, why not keep them

    It's a CONSOLE game. If you want a realistic simulator buy a PC. None of the Consoles games are realistic, even GT5/FM4 which do a good job fail to be true simulators.

    I have to agree with you there. Looking at the car list last night I was wondering what they were thinking when they picked some of the cars. I don't think any of the devs have been to a music festival or car festival.

    Plus I noticed it's only 6 cars not the usual 10. Not planning on buying any of the car packs but will get the Rally DLC.

    Can someone please explain how to do the co-op events.

    My sister and I tried to do the BMW day trip one but couldn't figure out where we were supposed to go to start from and what to do. Didn't help that my sister set up the lobby and was leading the way :)

    I have competed 10 co-op events :eek:

    You get a list of events in the menus. Pick the event you want with the A button, the description will tell you what needs to happen.
    When you get to the start location the top left corner of your screen will tell you that you are at the START location, both cars need to be there for it to trigger. Then you do/drive to whatever part of the map the description states. Some of them are driving from point a to point b. Others are driving thru a speed trap within 10-30secs of each other.

    The Night events pay more so do those. Night time lasts much less in co-op mode so you can only really do one event per night cycle.

    There is a few $1mill events but they require 8 players :eek:

    She and I did some racing for the first time last night and it was pretty fun. I like the slots at the end where they spin for your prize. I'm not too fond of the way they torture you by almost stopping on a killer car before stopping on some CR. My first one it paused on the 250 GTO and I was like OMG and then it went to CRs and the second time it paused on the Koenigsegg. Multiplayer is a great way to build up your bank.

    We backed out of multiplayer but she found the co-op part and called me back in. She is limited on her cars so she picked one event that required a car made before 1980 which we both had but it wouldn't let us do the event. She then picked the BMW Day Trip and we both got in out M1 barn finds.

    I guess she read the description and then set her GPS to it. It was something like drive from Boulder to the Media center. She looks on the map and sees Boulder and starting from the Festival we go to the general area but nothing happens. I guess she missed how to find the specific start point.

    Two more questions :)

    Are some of the events locked because they say " restrictions not met " and you need to do the available ones first to unlock them?

    Do you have to have a Ferrari in your garage to do the Ferrari Day Trip or do they give you one for the event?

    Yeah the description are a bit vague but it's the actual location description so you need to highlight each one on the map to work it out. For example there was one called South Beaumont but it ended up being the Horizon tent just south of Beaumont :eek:

    None of the events were locked when I tried. If "restrictions not met" is up, you are either in the wrong cars, wrong time of day or you don't have enough players(some events are 4+ and 8+).

    I gave in and picked it up today. First thing I notice is that it doesn't remind me of a Forza game in any way. I guess the Modifications and Menus are all Forza, but gameplay isn't the same. I was playing FM4 with a friend last night and Horizon today. No comparison IMO.

    This is NFS meets Test Drive Unlimited, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm just a little let down by they way they first revealed the game.

    Anyway, my purchase was justified by one, well, three things: A white 458 Spider and two turbos :D ;) :)

    I highly recommend everyone to give public mulitplayer a go(XP multiplyer is high for 4+players). The game starts giving nicer cars every time you level. I was gifted a Zonda R when I hit lvl 20!! :D

    There is a Goliath track available when you have 3 or more players and it's 33km long (8-9mins).

    Last night my Sister and I were doing the multiplayer races. I'm at level 20 and haven't won any cars over 300K. She is level 14 and just won the F50 GT. She asks if its any good and I tell her it is one of the best cars in the game. She uses it in the next race and I try to match her with my Zonda R but can't keep up. She says " I like this car but it sounds funny " :D

    That part of the multiplayer was a nice touch. With that and all the cars you win or find in the single player you almost don't even have to by a car.

    Do you have to pay real money to download the DLC packs?

    I don't have an XBox membership or any Microsoft points. Nor do I want to.

    You download the DLC by using Microsoft points purchased with real money.

    You may purchase the cars individually or as a pack. You can also download the Jeep Wrangler for free and this will allow you to see others driving the cars
    you didn't choose to buy and download. I don't know if you can download with a silver membership.

    The DLC then appears in the game's Auto Showcase where you have to purchase the car with in game credits to drive it.

    I have finished this game with an easy 1000G yet I still go back to it. It's loads of fun especially roaming with friends. I can't wait for the Rally DLC :D
