Fantastic! Thanks for posting. What's the story with that tower? Is it open to public? It looks cool and a little weird at the same time. -F
I believe they charge $35 a trip? I didn't ask, but i overheard the employees talking to somebody about it. $12 pizza....Lol 142 portapotties lined up
Nice pics, thank you. How's viewing at the track. Is there anywhere where you can see more than just a couple of turns? Mark
and it cost $12.... in the main plaza, you can see turns 1 and 2 off in the distance, and you're right next to turns 18, 19, and 20. I think there will be overtaking between 18 and 19. Honestly, I think the general admission tickets are way better than buying a seat in the grandstands. yes

It certainly looks like a great facility from the pictures. Probably the most complete race track in the US. I look forward to when they start having historic races there
Will post pictures and video later on .... Huge crowds today , even for practice ! For anyone interested ... Ended up with 2 extra tickets from a friend that coul not make it, they are on Turn 1 , PM if anyone is interested . Traffic was a non issue for us, staying in Georgetown 40 miles from the track, but got there this moning in 45 minutes, as Highway 130 to the track is an 80 mph toll road. More to follow ,
I have GA tickets and I really cannot imagine why anyone would pay more for a seat in one spot Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great pics. Still can't believe I never made it to a race @ Indy and I'm not in Austin this weekend...ugh!
That Veyron owner is a brave man. At the same time, 'mundane' Ferrari owners don't have an excuse not to drive their cars there, right?
I'll be interested to know what grandstands are actually "photographer friendly". I see a lot of shots ruined by catch fences. Also love to hear whether any of those foto restrictions (no long lenses etc) are being enforced by the guards or not.
Chopperd in this morning right before practice... my only shot so far... guest of enemy sponsors! Image Unavailable, Please Login
